Made reservations for 9 people for dinner for a birthday in their new location. Had a bit of everything on the menu & loved all of it - big fans of the baos, the chicken karage, the udon, & the beef. The vibe was warm. We had a great time & commented many times on how it was a great spot to go before going out on a weekend.
The service was lovely. I called beforehand to ask about accommodating a person with a severe gluten allergy & the owner worked out a dish with us ahead of time (fried rice with beef, no soy sauce, clean pan) & was there to confirm while we were eating.
Can't wait to come back for cocktails & karaoke when the new section opens 🎤❤?
This is one of THE BEST Taiwanese-Asian fusion restaurants in Montreal - hands down! Everything is BOMB especially their bao buns, calamari, truffle fries & their karaage chicken. Their food is sooo fresh & genuinely to die for!

Great food for cheap! I took a karaage bao expecting it to be small but it was generously big. The chicken was super crunchy, but I do think the spicy mayo overpowered the rest of the flavours of the bao a bit (chicken, veggies, etc).
Service was really quick & friendly (we were a group of 6 a Wednesday evening at their new location). It was a bit cold inside. Seatings are diverse: high chairs & low chairs. Despite the restaurant being small, you still had enough space to be comfortable. There's space to hang your clothes too so you don't have to keep your big coats with you at the table.
I also recommend ordering the takoyakis; out of many takoyakis I ate at other places, the ones at MajesThé are def one of the best. They're big & well toasted.
If you're a group of 5+, reservation is recommended as the restaurant (well at least, for their location as of January 7 2026) is quite small.
Amazing Taiwanese & fusion cuisine with big portion sizes & creative cocktails (including spiked BBT). Service was top-notch & friendly, & it's so convenient (right next to McGill & the metro), making it a top bar in Montreal. The only thing is that people may not know about it since it's underground, but don't let that deter you. From the second you're seated, it's a great experience. I loved the fried chicken, truffle fries, & juicy baos the most, but pretty much everything on the menu is a hit. I always swing by when I'm in the area.
La nourriture est excellente surtout le poulet pané curry & riz & le service est impeccable. Je ne savais pas qu'il yavais de la coriandre dans mon bao & j'y suis intolérante & le serveur n'a pas discuté & m'en a refais un autre sans coriandre.
Great bistro-bar. Good place for drinks or dinner. They often have a live band at night. The food is fusion so don't expect the dishes to be authentic. I came for dinner. They have tiny tables for 2 so if you plan on ordering lots of food, ask to be seated at the bigger table. I tried the takoyaki & pork bao as appetizers. The takoyaki was good but not crispy enough. The pork baos were quite big. The buns were soft & fluffy. They were very generous with the pork. For my main course, I had the vegetarian Yaki Udon with crispy tofu. I loved the mushroom sauce on the udon. Delicious. However the huge piece of crispy tofu didn't impress me. It was quite bland. I would have prefered small pieces of tofu. For dessert, I tried the hazelnut cake. It was ok.

I had high hopes from MajesThé. Next to a great Korean restaurant, cute ambience, great reviews. What could go wrong? This has to be the whitest Asian restaurant on this island. We had the Taiwanese pork bao buns, the lamb chops, the portobello mushrooms, the salmon tartare, a cauliflower thing, lamb skewers, & this new Cajun gumbo they were trying out. Everything was so bland! & the flavours were all unbalanced. Seemed to me like that there was the same mayo & soy sauce dressing on everything! The best thing was the lamb chops & they were just OK. The salad for the lamb chops were better than the lamb chops themselves. The worst was the new Cajun gumbo they were trying. Every single seafood item was overcooked & the flavours were just black pepper & butter. The absolute worst version I have ever had. The service was also so slow. There were only two tables & it took us a long time to flag down our waiter to take our order, even when mentioned to that I was in a hurry. The bartender was supposed to come up earlier & talk to me about possible cocktail choices & he only came up mid meal. Everybody else in my party were halfway through their drinks. It pained me to pay 146 CAD with tax for 3 peope. Came up to 167 CAD with tip.
Amazing hidden gem! I've been there three times now. Twice in a row this week 😂 I brought all my friends tonight. Great menu with options for many dietary requirements. Friendly staff & VERY FAST service. Food comes out really quickly. The BEST part about this cool space is that it's a resto/bar that serves bubble tea! They have two milk teas & one fruit tea option. The sober people have fun drinks in tall glasses too! No dairy free option for the milk teas though. My friends loved the whiskey sour. They have live music sometimes too. You must try the pork Bao & tiger prawn Bao. Their salads are dressed really nicely too. Thank you! See you soon
Nice decor & spacious. The service is friendly but they are understaffed on busy evenings so can be slow to get to you. Menu is a mix of Western & Asian with a slight bend towards Korean & Japanese. Food tastes good but some dishes are quite overpriced. Ordered the eel dish from the evening menu & got half a bowl of rice, about 5 small pieces of eel & 3 small nori sheets. It looked like a kid's dish. No need to say, that I had to order another main to fill up. Pork belly bao was tasty but again rather pricey. Definitely not the best option for Asian food in town but its proximity to McGill in the downtown core can make it convenient.
Very cute hidden place under ganarada. Food was great, service was excellent, cocktails were delicious. Everything was perfect! We got the Kalbi beef (highly recommended), the pork baos (amazing), the special shrimp baos (delicious) & the three cup chicken (my least favorite). Go!!
Had a great experience at MajesThé Bistro Bar! Food was amazing, drinks were great & impeccable service from our waiter, who took the time to give us recommendations. The Baos were so good! Would definitely go back
