Super cute Persian restaurant with lots of charm. We really enjoyed the ambience & the creative take on tahchin! We were a bit worried reading some of the reviews but the tahchin (kebab digi & chicken eggplant) were delicious. They are not your usual tahchin dishes - lots of aromatics that made the dish more complex & enjoyable. Highly recommend giving a try!

This restaurant does have a very nice decor to it, but the food was overpriced. Rice & chicken for 40$, I know safran is expensive & its hard to make proper tahchin, but I still felt like it was a high price. Sadly I also did not enjoy my dish & my plate was dirty. The service was okay.
A bigger concern was after reading all your reviews, how I felt about visiting. Your answers to negative reviews are extremely unprofessional, which made me not want to visit this place but did so for my friends. People are allowed to express their concerns & dislikes, especially the water situation, as a huge Montreal foodie, I have never witnessed any restaurants put water on the table without the customer asking or without them being notified it is an extra charge. You need to listen to your customers, even if you don't agree, & this will lead you to having a successful business. I am giving you two stars due to this, the food & service is not the only thing you should be worrying about.View more

Maison Inja is a beautiful restaurant next to its sister café Aunja on Sherbrooke. We were a party of two & ordered the (1) Eggplant & Chicken Tahchin [$36.85], (2) Lentil Delight Appetizer [$15.85] & (3) Borage Teapot [$15.99]. The tahchin tasted mostly like chicken, as we were unable to see or taste the eggplant. Note that it is VERY filling. We enjoyed the lentil appetizer but were surprised at the few pieces of bread given (that was visibly ripped apart). We asked for more which came with a surcharge of $2.99! We were also tucked away in a corner where we didn't have any water refills the whole night & kept waiting for a server to come around. Despite the lack of attention from the staff & high costs, we had a wonderful time & enjoyed the restaurant's ambiance. I would highly recommend the borage tea & lentil appetizer! I will probably return & order a different tahchin to try next time. In total, the bill came to $82.41 after tax & before tip.View more

Although the menu has basically two types of main dish, tahchin or borek, they are kind of masters in making them!

From the very first bite, we knew we were in for a treat! We ordered the kebab Digi & the Meat & Eggplant Tahchin, & both were absolutely delicious. The tahdig was perfectly crispy, & the flavors were rich, aromatic, & well-balanced. The dishes came with a variety of sides, adding to the experience. On top of that, our waitress was incredibly warm & welcoming, offering great recommendations. The cozy & beautifully designed space made the meal even more enjoyable.

My husband & I went to this restaurant for lunch. The appetizer I ordered was called skillet eggplant (if I'm not mistaken) & it was a new recipe kinda combination of kashke badenjan & Mirza ghasemi. The eggplant was smoked & it tasted so good. I just wish it was served warm. The main course; I ordered chicken & spinach tahchin & my husband ordered kabak digi tahchin. His dish was really good, mine was good too but at some point I felt a little bit greasy. Each dish comes with marinated olives & mint yogurt. The restaurant design was vintage & reminds me of my grandparents house. It was nostalgic & cozy. Overall I would recommend it specially for the Tahchin lovers! ☺️View more

I never leave reviews but I was so impressed i had to. I'm a huge fan of iranian food & went thinking it was going to be the usual grilled kebab that i love- but now i have a new favorite; the TAHCHIN!!! The flavors were insane, it was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is super cute too, as though you're in someones living room :) Love the vibe, the food, everything. I recently saw this restaurant on my Instagram feed & decided to try it out. The decor & atmosphere were really charming. As soon as you walk in, it feels like a cozy nook in the middle of a bustling city. The decor, chairs, plates, & everything are super cute & picture-worthy. The staff were incredibly friendly & welcoming. As for the food, there weren't too many options, but the few items they offered were prepared with mastery. We tried the Kababi digi tahchin, which was really good & tasty. The sides that came with the food were also delicious. We also ordered the eggplant dolma, which was good but very oily, & some of the eggplant sheets were raw. Despite this, the presentation of the dishes was good. The drinks were okay-nothing out of the ordinary, but good. Price-wise, they are on the pricier side, more like beautiful fantasy type food. We ended up paying 105$ with tip for what you see in the pictures.View more

The interior design is so beautiful. The dishes, wallpaper, chairs, etc. have a nostalgic Persian vibe that we loved. The food was also decent other than Shirazi Salad which I didn't like as it's not a traditional one. I believe they should rename it so that people are not confused. Tahchins come with yogurt & olives which is a nice touch. I would have liked more eggplant in my chicken eggplant tahchin, but I liked it anyway because it was well seasoned & so saffrony.
