I just ordered jerk chicken & it was inedible. The plate was all over the place & all mixed up. The salad was mixed with the rice. I had to throw it away & get a refund from Uber Eats thanks to the restaurant's poor food quality & service. It was not the fault of the driver. Definitely will never order from here again & will telling friends & family to do the same!
Maybe we came in to eat in odd hours between lunch & dinner but the jerk chicken although was tasty was not hot. It was also my first caraibes experience, so maybe the food temperature was normal?
It was so fresh & yummy. I came with my 1 year old & even he loved the food. We had curry goat & jerk chicken plates. The meat is good, the rice is good, the salad is good, everything was 10/10. The staff members were so polite & welcoming ! We also had a patty & I found that to be fresh as well (came on a Wednesday afternoon). Will definitely return!
It's a joke you paid 18$ for what exactly?! The salad is mushy the jerk chicken is completely dry. We had driven 20mins & I remember having this place when I was younger it was ten times better but my gosh we won't be back not with the service & not with the food. & the Jamaican patty had hardly no meat... maybe it was a bad day but we are super disapponted not worth our 60$ worth of purchase. Better go to Carib patties in Lachine!
As a born Caribbean native. We expect a taste that say that we are Caribbean but ordering a jerk plate & I wasn't satisfied or impressed. Rice is cold chicken is hot salad look like it was from two days ago. For the price I pay I know I would get a better plate other place. So I asked to confirm my suspicions. & yes the chicken was yesterday old & the was "kinda"done this morning 🤷🏿♂️🤦🏿. Still a good place. I suggest if you ask if the food is freshly cooked the day of ordering.
It was our first time to this place. We picked up some Jamaican patties & goat & chicken rotis... All I can say is OMG the food was delicious. The patties were a little spicy with a bit of sweetness. The pastry was flaky & the stuffing was just right. These are the best we've had in Montreal by a long shot. The roti was just amazing. It is comfort food at its best. The goat & chicken were super tender. The portion is huge. We had a chat with the owner, chef Trevor. Super nice gentlemen. Definitely someone I would enjoy a chat with over a long meal. Unfortunately we were not able to try the ox tail as it was not ready (it was late morning). We will for sure go back to give it a try. This place is worth the detou

Without a doubt, one of my most favorite spots to order. Ever. The chicken roti is absolutely to die for. It is pure quality every single time. The staff are incredibly nice & professional. There is nothing bad to say about this place whatsoever. You will never forget your first time eating here at Maison du Cari des Caraïbes!!
It's was gross. The stew chicken tasted like BBQ sauce & sugar, & they're was barely any chicken in it. The rices & peas were tasteless & I only had 3 peas on my plate. They give you one piece of plantain & the smallest portion of salade. At noon, they didn't have any jerk chicken or ackee & salt fish. So what do you have exactly?
I think it's run by different owners now. I'm never going back & i do not recommend. I used to love that place.
