A pseudo-hidden bar, it specializes in classic cocktails complemented by a menu of sharing plates of mezze, skewered and grilled seafood, and pizzas from the front. Offering an anonymous, sophisticated, and unique experience that’ll include live music and other performances. It goes without saying that you can grab a bite late at night here, along with a good stiff drink.

Definitely a hidden gem & a must try in the Plateau! The food was just as tasty as the drinks. The decor & atmosphere of the speakeasy was so much fun & also so well thought out. Dimitri & Villiam from the staff team were super welcoming. Overall, this place gets a 10/10 across the board for their delicious menu, fun concept & amazing staff. We'll for sure come back!

I found out about Magpie Magique through TikTok & IG videos on my feed & I was pleasantly surprised with my experience! My girlfriend & I thought we'd only come here for cocktails (which were great) but the food was AMAZING! My favourite was the cheese dip & their pizza. We would come back again for dinner & drinks. The atmosphere & the service were impeccable & we highly recommend it!
I had a fantastic experience here last night. Dimitri was our server & he took exceptional care of us. I tried two of their cocktails, one absinthe & gin from their specialty cocktails (delicious, a great recommendation from Dimitri) followed by their Sazerac which was very smooth, probably the highlight of my night. They have a front & back entrance, the back is only really marked by a red light & writing on a door but it is where Google maps directs you. If I was in Montreal for longer, I would make a point to visit again.
J'ai vraiment aimé mon expérience ! L'ambiance est super. Le servuce vraiment sympa & avec de très bons conseils. La musique avant 22h était à un volume parfait. Apres ca devient un peu fort. On a pris 2 drinks chacune & des pains naan à l'ail. Très bonne soirée. J'ai adoré l'entrée secrète. 🤭
Great, personable experience with Dimitri. He was so sweet, & we loved the vibes here. I told Dimitri what I was looking for in a drink, & he recommended their pisco sour & espresso martini. Both drinks encapsulated exactly what I was looking for in each drink. Props to the bartender who came by our table to say hello, & a kind thank you. Will definitely bring more people to this place!
Bar assez tranquille. L'entrée est une porte secrète. Les cocktails sont bons ainsi que les « entrées ». On ne peut pas vraiment manger un repas sur place hormis la pizza. Bon endroit si vous voulez passer une soirée tranquille entre amis ou en couple. Si vous cherchez plutôt une ambiance festive comme un club, ce n'est pas l'endroit.
Went there to try the coktails & the speak easy experience. We loved it! The place was full! The barman was very attentive to our tastes & our experience. Don't hesitate to talk with them they might give you extra coktails out of the menu 🤩

Très belle place, bien décorée, c'est pour ça que c'est triste que c'est ruiné par la musique. Un cover d'anaconda de nicki minaj en country ? Très perturbant.
This is a gem of a place (but I have a huge soft spot for speakeasy's). The entrance to Magpie says is all...a non-descript steel fire door on Gilford (although you can access it via St. Denis) with a scripted not "Livraison" painted on it & a red light over time...it literally screams "SPEAKEASY". Inside the retro red-light turn of the century décor is a relaxed environment where you go to chill with friends enjoying cocktails & small tapas style dishes. The ambiance is definitely in keeping with the theme. Like all speakeasy's in town, then offer a cocktail menu supported by additional inspirations. Normally I choose a Negroni but on the night of our visit they also offered a Green Negroni (using absinthe in some way). They also offer mocktails. While we didn't have an eats we did see a table adjacent order Hummus & Naan (the positive murmurs were audible). Definitely worth a visit just for the fun of it. Enjoy!

Had a great night at this speakeasy! The food is great for sharing & so delicious. The vibe & music made me feel like I was not in Montreal. I can't wait to go back!
Recently visited Magpie Magique for a datenight & loved it. The decor & ambiance are great! We sat at the bar so we got to see the drinks being made & conversed with the bar manager. We enjoyed our drinks, highly recommend their pisco sour & old fashioned! The food was really good too. Get the truffle honey popcorn, pizza of the moment & the mouhamara. We'll definitely be back to try more cocktails!
