A project from the team behind the wood-fired Pizzeria Magpie, Magpie Magique deviates from that concept entirely with a speakeasy-style red light entrance that leads into a chic spot. A pseudo-hidden bar, it specializes in classic cocktails complemented by a menu of sharing plates of mezze, skewered and grilled seafood, and pizzas from the front. Offering an anonymous, sophisticated, and unique experience that’ll include live music and other performances. It goes without saying that you can grab a bite late at night here, along with a good stiff drink.
Magpie Magique is described as a memorable speakeasy style venue with a warm, intimate yet spacious vibe where the tasting menu showcases fresh, well balanced flavors. The service is frequently praised for friendliness and attentiveness, and the kitchen team is recognized for experience, though a few guests report delays and disorganization at times. Guests highlight the atmosphere with live jazz or blues on certain nights and a relaxed ambiance that makes it ideal for a date or a night out with friends. Positive notes include inventive cocktails and mocktails, standout dishes like salmon tartare, beef cheeks, burrata, and the signature Date Night cocktail. A few experiences mention issues such as rude interactions over a band charge, reservation problems, seating too close to the stage, and long waits for drinks or meals. Overall reviews describe Magpie Magique as a hidden gem that continues to impress and invites returns, with anticipation for future menu offerings.

Excellent service & food, plus a great selection of mocktails! The atmosphere was great. The music was at just the right volume. The decor was unique & quite relaxing--it felt like we were being wrapped up in soft red silk sheets. Our servers were extremely attentive & friendly. Did I mention how great the food was? We will definitely be going back!
Delightful place. Very comfortable atmosphere, night warm lighting & super comfy couches & tables. My wife is pregnant, so we stuck to mocktails, & we ended up trying all of them--my favorite was the spicy affair, but all of them were delicious, as was all of the food we had! Service was wonderful, they were so friendly & kind. It was a great place for us to decompress & relax before we had to drive home to Massachusetts.
Très beau bar caché ! Une belle surprise, la décoration est superbe & intimiste. Les pizzas étaient vraiment délicieuses & belle proposition de cocktail/ mocktail. C'est pour sûr, un superbe endroit pour un date ou un événement spécial.
Ouhhhh quelle bonne pizza!

Loved the place, tip: go in from the door that says livraison lol... i wish they had more things on the menu but it is so tasty you must try their beef tartare. Our waiter was SO nice! I recommend the citrus mistress as a Mocktail size wise
The intimate, laid-back atmosphere, burlesque-style décor, soft jazzy music, & excellent, reasonably priced cocktail menu make it the perfect setting for a date night. We ordered several cocktails & a mocktail, all of which were delicious & expertly prepared. They also serve a variety of wines & beers. If you happen to feel a little peckish, they've got you covered with a food menu to enjoy with their extensive list of beverages. Classic bar munchies like olives, nuts, & popcorn, as well as some incredible dips of either goat cheese, eggplant, or hummus. We especially enjoyed the goat cheese dip. They also offer larger dishes like pizza, a sandwich, & beef tartare. With a great central location & wonderful service, we will most definitely return on an actual date to enjoy this lovely speakeasy.
Really lovely evening with A+ service from Dimitri despite us being large group. Great food, amazing mocktails & a cozy, fun vibe. Can't wait to come back!
This is a gem of a place (but I have a huge soft spot for speakeasy's). The entrance to Magpie says is all...a non-descript steel fire door on Gilford (although you can access it via St. Denis) with a scripted not "Livraison" painted on it & a red light over time...it literally screams "SPEAKEASY". Inside the retro red-light turn of the century décor is a relaxed environment where you go to chill with friends enjoying cocktails & small tapas style dishes. The ambiance is definitely in keeping with the theme. Like all speakeasy's in town, then offer a cocktail menu supported by additional inspirations. Normally I choose a Negroni but on the night of our visit they also offered a Green Negroni (using absinthe in some way). They also offer mocktails. While we didn't have an eats we did see a table adjacent order Hummus & Naan (the positive murmurs were audible). Definitely worth a visit just for the fun of it. Enjoy!
