Such a hidden gem in beautiful Val-David! A charming, family-owned spot right by the river. We sat on the terrace & loved every moment. The food is absolutely 5-star - highly recommend the house lager, fish & chips, cheeseburger, toffee pudding & clafoutis. Friendly service, cozy atmosphere, & an unbeatable setting. A must-visit!

Sommes allés pour le lunch sur la belle terrasse. Le service était top & les plats succulents! Nous avons partagé à deux une entrée tomates des champs & pêches de l'Ontario avec un assaisonnement sublime! Le fish & chips était excellent & mon conjoint a pris un steak qu'il a adoré & cuit comme il l'aimait! Très satisfait & une sortie resto à refaire!!! Merci à l'équipe de Mac Taverne 🙏👍

We loved our time at Mactaverne.
A truly charming spot with an incredible attention to detail. The cozy ambiance, music, & the balcony overlooking the river create an atmosphere that's both relaxing & memorable, the sound of the flowing water is pure serenity. The staff are exceptional!!!! They are friendly, attentive, & genuinely thoughtful. The food is hearty & delicious, with a great pub-inspired menu yet refined. We tried & loved their house lager. It is crisp, flavorful, & clearly crafted with care. A perfect mix of comfort, quality, & hospitality. Highly recommend!

Our group of eight enjoyed dinner & drinks on the deck. All of the food was excellent, especially the Welsh Rarebit. Servers & proprietors added to our fun. Highly recommend!

The 5/5's say it all! Our overnight stay, dinner, & breakfast were a complete delight! The building has been newly renovated, & the atmosphere is both rustic & sophisticated, comfortable & relaxed. We were warmly greeted by the owner, & the wait staff & chef were all friendly & fluent in both French & English. We loved our room under the eaves, & dinner on the terrace was fantastic--all local, fresh ingredients, including the beef. Great location right on the river & rail trail & short walk into town. We will definitely return!

Ich war als Radfahrer auf dem P'Tit train du nord unterwegs und habe 3 Nächte in der MacTaverne übernachtet. Die Atmosphäre war sehr familiär und angenehm. Beim Frühstück stehen 3 leckere Gerichte zur Auswahl und auch abends kann man hier sehr gut essen.
Der ganze Aufenthalt hier hat mir extrem gut gefallen. Nocheinmal ein großes Dankeschön an das Personal!
Wer die Zeit hat, dem empfehle ich eine Wanderung durch den Park Val-David in der Nähe.

We stayed at MacTaverne twice over the course of our two week stay in Montreal. The service is so friendly, the rooms are quaint & fairly priced & the location is perfect if you want to do activities (cycling, climbing, kayaking). We also ate at the restaurant one evening & absolutely loved everything.

A true gem in Val-David! Cozy atmosphere, amazing food, & warm, attentive service. Every bite was delicious & the whole experience felt special. We stopped here for lunch on our biking trip

Perfectly situated off the ptit train du nord! On site bike storage available. Terrific food & drinks! Staff really went above & beyond to help us out & were also very fun to chat with :) rooms were clean & comfortable. will definitely be back!

Super repas produit frais & très bien préparé. Fish & ships excellent ( poisson pas trop cuit & croustillant) ainsi que les frites. Super burger également. Je recommande fortement.
