I have never try so delicious Portuguese Meal like Ma Poule Mouillée. If I could give them 10 Starts I would. To bad im not from Montréal. Toronto is Home. Recommend ⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?
Went early so no line ups, lots of seating available but we went in February, when the weather improves I can see it getting busier. Chicken was amazing. I felt the poutine was better than the famous place across the street. Highly recommended, I will definitely return when I visit Montreal next
A friend in Ottawa told us to check this place out, & we are so glad we did! My friend & I shared the chicken & chorizo sandwich, with mild sauce, fries & salad on the side. Everything was so good! The fries were crispy, the sandwich had no need for extra fluff & stuff.... meat, bread, sauce. Delicious! We went at 4:00 on a Thursday afternoon, so parking was relatively easy, & we were able to get seating easily as well. Highly recommend!
We arrived around 10:15am & waited about 5 to 10 minutes while they finished their morning preparations. After that, there was no wait, & there were still seats available when we left around 10:45.
Although the menu was in French, we & many other customers were able to order in English without any issues. You may still want to translate the menu ahead of time to know what's available.
As many other reviewers have mentioned, a small poutine was more than enough for two people without being overly filling. The chicken, chorizo & cheese were very flavourful. For the price & taste, I would recommend this place.

Heard about this place for so long I had to try the poutine. The Price & amount is incredible, & it tasted good. Not the best I've ever had but definitely decent & if recommend it. Must come back to eat a non poutine meal.
As a lover of Portuguese chicken, I had to try this place & I was not disappointed. The poutine is hands down one of the best deals in the city. The portion size was huge (easily two full, delicious meals), & the flavor balance was spot on. I expected something heavy or greasy, but even with the chorizo, it wasn't overly fatty at all just perfectly rich & flavorful. The chicken itself was excellent, & the service was quick & friendly. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fresh, modern twist on classic poutine.
La longueur de la queue est souvent garante de qualité, & ici, on ne se trompe pas, car la qualité est au rendez-vous.
Le rôtissage bien visible depuis la queue nous met tout de suite en confiance: le roulement des poulets (aves César, morituri te salutant) est une bonne garantie de fraîcheur. Ici, le poulet ne languit guerre!
La poutine est honnête comme le prix, généreuse, bien fournie & excellente puis s'absorbe bien sans problème.
Un endroit à recommander!

Si vous cherchez un endroit pour savourer un poulet portugais authentique & délicieux, ce restaurant est une excellente adresse. La nourriture est excellente, & même s'il y avait une longue file d'attente lors de ma visite, l'organisation a permis de réduire le temps d'attente. Vous avez aussi la possibilité de commander par téléphone, ce que je recommande vivement pour gagner du temps.
J'ai choisi le Combo Véronique, & c'était un vrai régal : un mélange varié comprenant de la saucisse (spectaculaire !), une salade fraîche & des pommes de terre savoureuses. J'apprécie aussi que les prix soient affichés taxes incluses, ce qui rend l'expérience plus simple & transparente.
En revanche, un petit point négatif a marqué mon expérience. J'étais avec un grand groupe & j'avais demandé à ce que le poulet, la salade & les pommes de terre soient servis séparément dans des plats distincts. On m'avait répondu que c'était possible, mais au moment de payer, tout avait finalement été mélangé. Au lieu d'expliquer clairement dès le départ que servir séparément entraînait un coût différent, on m'a simplement dit que'ce n'est pas comme ça que ça se fait'. Ce manque de communication m'a un peu déçue, car j'aurais volontiers payé le supplément si cela avait été précisé dès le départ. C'est la seule raison pour laquelle je ne donne pas cinq étoiles.
Côté recommandations : ne manquez pas les natas (délicieuses !)
Best Portuguese chicken in town, chicken is tender & delicious, the fries are tasty there's most of time à line up but it's totally worth the wait. Totally recommand.
Hooooly this food was simply amazing. ENORMOUS portions for the prices. The chicken & chorizo are delicious. Staff is nice & the whole place just smells great. I'd recommend trying a Sumol too if you've never had one. This is a must-try Portuguese chicken in Mtl, absolutely delicious & unbeatable calorie to dollar ratio.

Their chicken & chouriço poutine is crazy good. The large portion is perfect for 2-3 people. It can get pretty hot indoors with all the grilling - highly recommend taking your meal to La Fontaine park for a picnic on a nice day!
J'ai commandé le demi-poulet chez Ma Poule Mouillée & c'était absolument délicieux ! Le personnel était gentil & accueillant, & l'ambiance chaleureuse & animée a rendu l'expérience encore meilleure. Tout était parfait : la nourriture, le service & l'atmosphère. Je recommande vivement !
