Super bon! Le hype en vaut la peine. La poutine est généreuse & balancée. Je recommande fortement👌🏽. Il y a toutefois très peu de place à l'intérieur, donc prévoir une deuxième option où vous pourrez manger assis.
The quantity of food is significant ! The "small" poutine is huge & very tasty. It can last you two meals easily. The chicken pieces within the poutine make an excellent combo. However, it can get crowded during busy evenings so be prepared to line up!
J'avais des grandes attentes envers la poutine que l'on entend dire être dans les top 10 à Montréal. Je vous assure que le poulet, le chorizo & la sauce piquante le sont! La poutine était remplie de ce délectable poulet! Mais à ma grande déception, les frites étaient dures & sèches comme la dépouille de Mufasa dans le Roi Lion 1. Le fromage sans "squick squick" , absent d'âme. C'est comme regarder un film de Sylvester Stallone & avoir l'espoir que ça va être un succès. De plus, la poutine ordinaire (sans poulet, sans chorizo, avec sauce brune) était le même prix que celle remplie de viande, 18$! Peut-être qu'une révision de prix à la baisse serait équitable pour les non-carivores. J'ai adoré l'ambiance; un simple petit resto walk in sans service aux tables avec la vue sur la cuisine & le poulet qui cuit sur le charbon!
The only reason you'd go to La Banquise is if Ma Poule Mouillée is closed. Their Portuguese poutine will absolutely blow your mind. There is just nothing like it. It is absolutely LOADED with roasted chicken & chorizo. Fries & cheese are of course top class, & the sauce has a little twist that pairs so well with the rest. Do yourself a favour, skip the other subpar poutine places & go to Ma Poule Mouillée instead. You'll thank me later.
If you love poutine, this one is a winner! Their charcoal-grilled Portuguese chicken is superb & when they add it to their poutine, a whole new world is born! Great work, guys!!
So delicious! We went here because I liked how the fries looked on the photos of the other reviews & were not disappointed. We ordered a large poutine with chicken & without chorizo to share. We finished it but could not have eaten more!
The fries were really good (not crispy though), the gravy was so flavourful & the chicken was tender & had a slight roast aroma to it. Loooove! The only thing we were missing was for the cheesecurds to melt.
The price for the size is very very fair!
& the line goes very fast in my opinion. I would say we ordered within 10 minutes with around 12 people in front of us & got our food after another 10 min.
P.S.: we also ordered the chicken sandwich, which is just chicken in a bun & nothing else. It was quite dry, BUT if you dip it in the gravy sauce of your poutine or add some cheese from the poutine, it is delicious!! :)

Lived up to the hype & then some. Line moved fast, prompt & friendly service. We got a large & a small poutine to split & had leftovers for days. A small is more than enough for one.
The poutine as a whole is delicious but the chicken is definitely the real star. Tender & juicy with crispy skin. & fair prices for the massive portions.
