I ordered a salad, poutine, & their famous chicken, & the total came to a little over $40-well worth it for the quality & portion sizes. Everything tasted incredibly fresh. The chicken was juicy, perfectly seasoned, & cooked just right with that signature Portuguese-style flavor. The poutine was rich & indulgent, loaded with toppings & full of bold taste, while the salad balanced everything out nicely with fresh ingredients.
One of the things I really appreciated was that you can actually see how they cook your food. It adds a level of transparency & trust, & it's honestly fun to watch the process. You know you're getting something freshly prepared right in front of you.
The service was fast & pleasant. Even though the place was busy, the staff handled everything efficiently & kept things moving without sacrificing friendliness. That said, be prepared-there's often a line of people waiting, which says a lot about how good the food is. Seating is limited, so it's not the best spot if you're looking for a long, relaxed dine-in experience.
Overall, if you want delicious, fresh chicken & don't mind a bit of a wait, this place is a must-visit.
Super generous portion of poutine filled with lots of tender rotisserie chicken & slices of chorizo. We shared a small poutine between 3 people & it was enough. The gravy is rich, but starts to get a little salty near the end. You order in at the kitchen area then pay & pickup your food at the cash register. Would recommend for delicious & reasonably priced poutine!
Really good chicken & portions are unbelievable. The sandwiches are really yum with the bread being particularly soft with the right chew. The egg tart is a must try & we even tried a few others - all good. Must try!!!
Super bon resto portugais. Les portions sont généreuses pour le prix . Une grosse poutine au poulet & saucisse 20$ taxe in / 2 personnes & incapables de la finir .

Je n'arrive pas à croire que je n'avais jamais laissé d'avis après toutes ces années chez Ma Poule Mouillée !
Ça fait plus de dix ans que j'y vais, & je suis encore autant fan aujourd'hui. Les prix sont imbattables, les portions sont incroyablement généreuses, j'en ai toujours pour le lendemain.
C'est devenu un incontournable pour moi, un vrai staple à Montréal. Toujours aussi bon, toujours aussi satisfaisant
Be aware & be prepared: Always waiting time! The place has just few places to eat inside. 1st come, 1st served. HOWEVER, amazing food, delicious, coconut flan is top! & come hungry... if not... you will have to take the leftovers... LOL...
Suggestion: in the spring, summer, autumn with nice temperatures order as take out & go to the park nearby... bring your picnic matt & enjoy 😉.

I ordered 2 meals To go, One chicken sandwich with fries & salad, The Other one , Half a chicken With fries & salade. they put everything in the same box, with the salad on top of the fries, when I got home, the salad was soggy & not edible… which ended up in the garbage , I don't see the common sense to put salad on top of fries in the same cardboard box. & another thing I had asked for extra sauce on the chicken & there was ZERO SAUCE on the chicken. Very disappointed, I won't be going back there again..
The poutine is the best I've ever had (as a québécois that says a lot) & the chicken was so good I had to buy the sauce & seasoning mix immediately after. I always recommend my friends to come here when they visit the city.
