Comme c'était la Ramadan, nous avons décidé de dîner dans ce restaurant, pensant qu'ils proposaient un buffet spécial pour l'occasion. À notre grande surprise, & selon le prix proposé par personne, le restaurant était très ordinaire & manquait de charme. D'abord, les plats étaient froids, & pas frais. Ensuite, il manquait des desserts, & quand on leur a demandé, ils ont refusé. Troisièmement, aucune musique ne créait l'ambiance particulière de diner de Ramadan. Enfin, au moment de payer l'addition, le serveur s'est précipité vers nous & a insisté, à sa manière, pour que nous laissions un pourboire. Il a refusé d'être payé en espèces, alors que on voulait régler la totalité de l'addition ainsi. Franchement, nous sommes repartis déçus, n'ayant apprécié ni le repas ni l'ambiance.
Food was good but when it was time to pay, the payment terminal did not offer a'No Tip' option, which felt uncomfortable. I selected the'Custom' option & entered an amount below 15%, but the machine did not process the payment.
The waiter told me that the minimum tip was 15% & I can't customize or choose any smaller amount than this. This made me feel pressured, as I understand tipping in Canada to be optional.
Customers should feel comfortable with their payment choices. Unfortunately, this experience affected my overall impression & I don't think I will go eat there again.

J'ai eu l'occasion de célébrer la fête de ma femme chez Laylac, & honnêtement… expérience incroyable.
Première fois que je goûte une viande aussi parfaitement préparée : cuisson maîtrisée, saveurs incroyables, qualité exceptionnelle. On sent le souci du détail du début à la fin.
L'ambiance est chaleureuse, le service attentionné, & tout était réuni.
Un endroit que je recommande les yeux fermés, autant pour une occasion spéciale que pour se faire plaisir.
J'ai fêté mon anniversaire ce soir à ce restaurant!! Quelle sublime découverte !! Tout était magnifique, bon, service extraordinaire surtout l'adorable Lilia (merci pour ta gentillesse , ton sourire & ton excellent service 😊) !!! Honnêtement, c'est la meilleure cuisine syrienne libanaise que j'ai jamais goûté !! La décoration est superbe !! On reviendra à coup sûr & je le recommande les yeux fermés à 200% !!!
Karla welcomed me & my family as if we were back home in Lebanon. We felt nostalgic & it was amazing to be here, especially with the Saturday night entertainment.
Oh let's not forget, the food is off the hook. Dont miss out

I recently visited Lylac, & it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The atmosphere felt warm & authentic, the food was full of rich flavours, & every dish tasted freshly prepared. What stood out even more was the service (Carla) genuinely welcoming, attentive, & delivered with a personal touch that made the meal even more enjoyable.

Food was good, but too pricey. There was one tomato, kebab & thebread. The waitress told me to tip her 20% instead of me choosing how much i want to tip her. Service was very slow.

First off, Lylac restaurant is absolutely beautiful! I love the decor & cleanliness! 💜, the service is great! They are very friendly & professional 😊! I love the atmosphere & the Arabic music, it gives a good vibe 🔥! The food is well presented, authentic, unique & delicious ! 🤤 The prices are worth it ! I recommend the Halloumi fried cheese rolls & the shawarma platters as well as the meats on the grill! I would eat here again in a blink of an eye! I give Lylac & strong 4 out of 5 🥰!
Honestly, this is our go-to restaurant next time we visit in Montreal. We drove all the way from Ottawa, & I have to say, Lylac is a restaurant my family & I will go back to. To start, the service was unbelievable. They were checking our table every 5 minutes to see if we needed anything. Not only one person, but we had a rotation of different servers checking the table & bringing us this hot, amazing fresh bread. The food was absolutely amazing; the portions were great, & the taste was unbelievable. For entertainment, there was also lots of fun, especially the DJ between the singers. It was a great combination. If I have to say what was the best, it was the service with their beautiful, genuine smiles. The way they served was off the charts. I strongly recommend this place if you're looking for one place that has it all; you definitely cannot go wrong.
Incredible place, it was the first time I went to a dinner with my co-workers, the incredible food, everything perfect, the attentions 1A, I recommend it... Karla is very attentive, & so are her colleagues!
