Fourteen people dined at a dinner table on Saturday night, May 23rd, at Lilac Laval restaurant.

Food was excellent, & the service was good, at the end the waitress presents one bill & she insisted that the guests pay the entire bill & then split it amongst themselves.

This was despite the fact that each person had individually ordered their preferred drink, & the waitress had recorded the orders.

This is completely unacceptable & not in the best interest of the establishment. * In restaurants & hotels regulations, the customer is always right.

As a guest, I felt pressured, knowing that customers should feel comfortable with their payment options.

Unfortunately, this experience negatively impacted my overall impression, & my friends shared my opinion. We concluded that we will not be dining there again.

Fourteen people, representing seven families-imagine the damage of this story will cause to the repetition of the restaurant.

*My advice to the management is to choose experienced employees & emphasize their customer service skills. * The establishment's reputation of Laylac restaurant is paramount & should take priority.

The staff was welcoming , we had ordered couple of things & the food was delicious especially the Muhammara. Definitely worth trying.

Visited with my family 💙 we had a group of 10+ people, & everything was amazing from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor, & you could tell everything was made with care. The atmosphere was relaxing, welcoming, & perfect for enjoying a meal together.

The staff truly went above & beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of, especially with such a large group. Their hospitality made the experience even better.

I'm visiting from NYC, & honestly I wish they had a location there because I would absolutely be back! Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Syrian food & a great dining experience.

The place is very nice, lady singer was good but the guy playing the keyboard wasn't helping her & the sound of his music was louder than her voice! DJ set was really good though.

Excellent service there is many waiters & they all serve all the tables they help each other . They are very nice & listen to the customer's needs. I think its mostly by reservations . The food was good but not the best that I had to be honest. Anyways we go for the atmosphere & its also very fun there !

La bouffe était vraiment excellente! Très frais & goûteux. Le service par contre n'est pas top. Les serveurs(es) ne sont pas tous souriants & très sympathique.

Good food but waaaayy waaayyyy overpriced. $22 for 2 stick plate nothing else comes in the plate other than literally 1 bbq tomatoe & onion. Not worth it at all. Rather spend my money elsewhere.

Je trouve bizarre quils vous impose le pourboire de 15%& plus & que les touches de pas de pourboire ou celui de a ton bon vouloir ne fonctionne pas,à 20h tout a été débarrassé, alors qu'on s'est mis à table à 19h,c'est CHÈRE la table.....

Je tiens à partager mon expérience dans ce restaurant, qui s'est révélée globalement décevante.

D'abord, un bon restaurant se distingue par la transparence & le respect du client, ce qui n'a pas été entièrement le cas ici. Certains aspects, notamment au niveau de la facturation, manquaient de clarté, ce qui peut facilement créer un malaise. Je tiens à exprimer ma déception concernant mon expérience dans ce restaurant.

Tout d'abord, j'ai été particulièrement surpris de constater qu'un pourboire semblait être ajouté de manière discrète à la facture, sans que cela soit clairement mentionné au préalable. Ce genre de pratique manque de transparence & peut facilement mettre les clients dans une situation inconfortable.

Ensuite, le menu offrait très peu de choix, ce qui limite énormément l'expérience & ne permet pas de satisfaire différents goûts ou préférences.

Dans l'ensemble, cette expérience a été décevante. Entre le manque de clarté au niveau de la facturation & l'offre limitée du menu, je ne recommanderais pas cet établissement.

Ensuite, le menu offrait un choix assez limité, ce qui réduit l'expérience globale. On s'attend généralement à plus de variété afin de satisfaire différents goûts & préférences.

Enfin, l'expérience globale n'a pas été à la hauteur des attentes. Entre le manque de diversité dans les plats & certains points discutables dans le service, il y a clairement des améliorations à apportez.

En résumé, ce restaurant a du potentiel, mais plusieurs aspects devraient être revus afin d'offrir une expérience plus agréable & professionnelle aux clients.

On est parti souper pour la fête de l'Aid , c'était un buffet très ordinaire , pas de variété , ni fruits , on a réservé à 19h , une heure après le serveur nous avisé que le buffet fermera dans 5minutes & la même pour chose pour les gâteaux & le thé & pourtant le restaurant ferme ses portes à21heures.
Cependant, à notre grand étonnement, la serveuse est venue pour nous demander de payer & quand on voulait sélectionner d'autres montants de pourboires , ça ne fonctionne pas & elle nous informe qu'il y'a que 3 montants seulement, soit 15% le plus bas ou 18%, 20% , on était vraiment sous pression pour faire le paiement. Dans tous les cas ça serait la dernière fois , je ne retournerai plus

I went there yesterday with 17 family members because a friend of mine is always hyping this place up. We made a reservation in advance, & somehow no one thought it was important to mention that we'd be forced into a fixed menu. So we get there, start looking at the menu like normal people, & suddenly we're told we don't have a choice. At that point, it's not even about the menu anymore, it's the fact that no one communicated this beforehand.

What really made it worse was the attitude. Instead of owning the miscommunication, the staff immediately started blaming us, like we were supposed to just magically know. They even tried to gaslight us into believing they had already told the person who reserved about it, which simply wasn't true. No apology, no effort to fix it, just rude, dismissive, & honestly disrespectful.

We ended up leaving, which was embarrassing & a complete waste of time with that many people.

If this is how they treat customers, I genuinely don't understand the hype. The lack of basic communication & the attitude alone are enough to make sure I never come back. If you're planning to go, double check everything because clearly they won't bother telling you.

Wow… honnêtement une des meilleures expériences resto que j'ai eues
La nourriture était tout simplement INCROYABLE. chaque bouchée était parfaite, pleine de saveurs, on voit vraiment la qualité & le souci du détail 👌🔥
L'ambiance aussi… juste wow. Super chaleureuse, belle énergie, on s'y sent bien dès qu'on entre. & alors là… mention ULTRA spéciale à Julien,service PARFAITTTT, attentionné, rapide, hyper gentil… il a rendu l'expérience encore plus mémorable !!
Je recommande à 1000% & c'est sûr que je reviens !!!

My friends & I discovered this restaurant a Saturday night.
The food was truly amazing & everything came out hot & fresh.
The service was one of the best I've had (thank you Karla) & there was even live music!
I would highly recommend this place

I was craving a fattoush salad & this place was suggested in Uber Eats. The vegetables were fresh & crispy & the dressing made with quality ingredients & a perfect balance between sweet & tart. I also tried the sujook rolls & it smelled & tasted fantastic. Everything was very well-packaged. I'm excited to try other items from the menue.

Comme c'était la Ramadan, nous avons décidé de dîner dans ce restaurant, pensant qu'ils proposaient un buffet spécial pour l'occasion. À notre grande surprise, & selon le prix proposé par personne, le restaurant était très ordinaire & manquait de charme. D'abord, les plats étaient froids, & pas frais. Ensuite, il manquait des desserts, & quand on leur a demandé, ils ont refusé. Troisièmement, aucune musique ne créait l'ambiance particulière de diner de Ramadan. Enfin, au moment de payer l'addition, le serveur s'est précipité vers nous & a insisté, à sa manière, pour que nous laissions un pourboire. Il a refusé d'être payé en espèces, alors que on voulait régler la totalité de l'addition ainsi. Franchement, nous sommes repartis déçus, n'ayant apprécié ni le repas ni l'ambiance.
