I have been twice to Lylac restaurant, both were wonderful culinary experiences true to form & tradition. On one of the occasions, I attended with colleagues whom were not familiar with Syrian food, the wait staff guided them through the menu & everyone (even the picky ones) left happy.
The food was so good, that I decided to cater a party for 60 people with a full lamb, hot & cold mezze. The food was a hit. All the guests were raving about the food & were happy to leave with leftovers. The catering experience had me meet the owner Jean. The pride in offering authentic flavours with high quality was very evident in my interactions with him. The great value is not accidental, it is intentional.
I highly recommend for a meal & for catering services. Expect authentic flavours, good service, & most importantly great value.
Visited with my family 💙 we had a group of 10+ people, & everything was amazing from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor, & you could tell everything was made with care. The atmosphere was relaxing, welcoming, & perfect for enjoying a meal together.
The staff truly went above & beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of, especially with such a large group. Their hospitality made the experience even better.
I'm visiting from NYC, & honestly I wish they had a location there because I would absolutely be back! Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Syrian food & a great dining experience.
Like usually the food, service & the atmosphere was excellent. Best Syrian food 👌🏼the service is always fast & on point 🙏🏼
Best restaurant to eat syrian food in Laval, generous, delicious & nice environment!
The best halal restaurant ever, even in Montreal & Laval! Thanks for the delicious Syrian food.
Just so you know how delicious the food is, I forgot to take enough photos 🤤 This restaurant is a great representative of the Aleppine/Syrian food. Straight to the point, authentic, traditional, correct Syrian cuisine. The staff & management are professional & friendly. The hemmos is top notch! & a "Chapeau Bas" to their Chef! Bravo Lylac 👏🏼
Lylac in Laval offers a true taste of authentic Syrian cuisine. The appetizers, especially the hummus & moutabal, are exceptional, setting the stage for a memorable meal. The filet mignon skewers, with an extraordinary sauce, were the highlight of my dining experience. A unique touch I appreciated was the quality mixed nuts served with beer!🍺 The staff is outstanding, providing top-notch customer service that truly reflects the warmth & hospitality of Middle Eastern culture-something that's hard to find in Montreal. I highly recommend Lylac for anyone seeking an authentic & delightful dining experience. 👍
Always very good! Very tasty Syrian food! Pitas are always fresh & hot. You can't go wrong!
The staff is amazing, the restaurant location & decor are also a plus. Most food is amazing, the grape leaves could be better if they reduce the sourness of the sauce (I guess just reduce or remove the pomegranate molasses, lemon alone would be tastier) & the cheese rolls could be less oily. Kebbeh, mortadella halabi, hummus, fattoush & other dishes we tried were exceptional ! Looking forward coming back to this amazing Syrian cuisine restaurant 👌
So the place is beautiful. Food is yummy One of the few classy halal restaurants in town. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is recently I went there for the iftaar buffet & I was confused why they didn't have any kebabs... or any meat skewers. One would expect that from a Lebanese/ Syrian restaurant. You pay 55$ & get a bunch of different sauces like hummus garlic sauce etc... a bunch of salades & some other random dishes.. everything is yummy, don't get me wrong... but for $55 I was expecting some more meat... Second point, I was surprised to see that they had a gentleman playing music at the time of iftaar... normally people make a prayer or at least close the music at time of iftaar... the majority of people were Muslim & came to open their fast.. why do u have someone playing music? I understand the business side of things, but for the month of Ramadan, at iftaar time it is wrong to have someone playing music..
