This place was on my list since 2 years, I kept crossing it out due to mix reviews. It kept poping on my insta so decided to give it a try. Its a neighborhood cafe in a residential area, retro vibe beautiful decor. I had no expectation for food yet I have to say I was surprisingly amazed it was very good. Wasn't impressed with the service although there were only another 2 tables. Overall I highly recommend eating there.
It was my second time there, I went with my daughter who had come for the first time service was impeccable. Food was amazing atmosphere was fantastic, I would recommend it to all of my friends.

NDG Luncheonette is a small diner-style restaurant with a good selection of breakfast & lunch options. Service was attentive & friendly. We did not have to wait to long for a table. We had tuna fish & BLT sandwich (or sandy) & both very good. Recommended if you are in the neighborhood! Note: Restaurant is cash only.
Quaint diner, brings me back to the good old days. Simple menu (cash only, taxes included in the price) & the food was delicious. Our server was so sweet & pleasant, made me feel welcome. Strongly recommend!!!

Place is hella cute, quaint & completely unexpected for that part of NDG. Simple menu, but certainly a propos of the small restaurant. Initially service was good, but after food was delivered it was a bit spotty. Asked for some mayo, & waited so long for it that most of what I wanted it on was eaten due to hunger. Wife had the pancakes, which were nice & fluffy but the cold toppings made it just a lukewarm meal. I had the JJ's breakfast, which was nice. Bacon was a bit burnt, but it was simple. Rye toast was a nice touch & the eggs were well made. Certainly a home breakfast, just made by someone else. Tax & tip, including 2 coffees (which don't appear to be mentioned as extra, unless I completely missed it) was $45.
I would certainly not recommend going again, nor would I make it part of my rotation, as much as I love non-chain places, but I would not refuse to go.
We absolutely love this place! The food is always amazing-perfect eggs every single time. The staff are super friendly, helpful, & unbelievably patient with our little chaos-makers 😅
Huge shoutout to Cam, who is an incredible server, & to the whole grill team for consistently nailing the breakfast classics. Recommend x a million! 🥚✨
I really want to like this place, & in some way do. I like the dinner style, I feel like it's something lacking in Montreal. The price are fair & the portions can be good (depending on what you get).
The hard part in this review for me is the service. The cooks work so hard, & I truly appreciate that. Sometimes the wait can feel overwhelming. I've been here 4 times & the wait on 3 of the occasions were near an hour. & before you assume it was busy, it wasn't that busy. The waiters can just be slow.
Now, speaking of waiters, this is what made or break the experience for me. We had one lady serve us, she was the best. While on the other occasions, it felt like we were purposely being ignored & spoken with impatience.
I kind of recommend this place, but don't expect too much. I kinda like it, but the people I went with didn't.
