From the tasty shawarma with perfectly grilled bread to the most fresh manakish - Lulu is a must. My personal favourites are the chicken shawarma sandwich & the lahme baajin manakesh but everything is a slam dunk from Lulu.
I ordered a spicy cheese zaatar manakish & accidentally forgot to pay for the extra veggies I added. The server graciously took care of it & didn't charge me, showing incredible respect & kindness. The staff's hospitality, combined with the amazing food that brings a taste of home, made the experience unforgettable.
All the manakeesh & the beef shawarma & the charcoal grilled meats are all really great, & the service & atmosphere is top notch
If you're craving authentic Lebanese flavors, this place is a must-visit. The man2ooshe here takes me straight back to Lebanon. The staff is friendly, & the atmosphere feels just like a Lebanese café, with touches of the Middle Eastern charm that make it feel truly authentic. Highly recommend!
Youssef & Michael especially really are the best out there ! Warm welcome & great food ! Starting 2025 with a manakeesh was the best call !! Food is extremely good, we feel like home with the service, the flavours, the whole vibe !
Does NOT serve TEA with Manakeesh. Limited places to sit. Seats could be cleaner. Very loud music, at least when we were there.
I consider this shop to be one of the best expressions captured by an affordable food establishment in the city & province (& perhaps country). Yet I've been reluctant return for a few months now, ever since Michael left. Mike picked up the community from where Youssef left it. It's been a smooth relay thus far. But the memory of the chicken shawarma overpowered me today. I went in with my family, & the Michael/Youssef sized hole was not filled. It's a high bar, but a necessary one to meet, if Lulu continues to aspire to be a home away from home. Right now, it is not that. Right now, it's slinging the best shawarmas you can possibly eat in North America, that is certain. Somehow, they've made their shawarma sandwich better. Yes, I'll be the first to admit that the quality control of Lulu can at times be as unstable as the Quebecois government (especially the manakish), but when you come in at the right occasion, it doesn't get any better. Is Lulu a 5/5 food establishment? After today, no doubt. I didn't realize that the food alone could carry Lulu to greatness. Does Lulu aim to be more than a food provider? Evidently yes. So despite how impossible it may seem, finding the second-coming of Michael/Youssef is urgent.
