Undoubtedly the quietest pint to be had in the Latin Quarter, this plush Scottish pub features more than a dozen beers on tap, most imported from Britain and Ireland. The aficionado will find even the most obscure scotches, and there are daily single malt specials for those looking to test their palates.
Reviews of L'île Noire Pub highlight a deep selection of whiskies and an extensive drinks menu that many find impressive, paired with a cozy, British-Scottish vibe and a setting that works well for dates or evenings with friends. Service receives a mix of praise and criticism: attentive, friendly staff and solid overall service when not overwhelmed, but reports of understaffing on busy weekend nights leading to delays and miscommunication. The atmosphere is described as warm and convivial, with pirate-inspired decor and a terrace that offers a pleasant view, though music volume and crowding can vary and affect the vibe. Food options are available and generally acceptable, with some noting good value for drinks and snacks while others find the bites not aligned with prices or gluten-free options limited. Overall, the pub is viewed as a top choice for whisky enthusiasts and socializing, offering a classic Montreal bar experience with notable night-to-night variation.
Located in a really nice location on St Denis, really nice pub, liked the ambience & interior. They have so many options to choose for whiskey & scotch & good selection of cocktails. Didn't try the food but it also looked pretty good, definitely will try it again.
Incredible gin & scotch menu. Great small plates. Terrace was a really chill spot to people watch in the city. Great, unpretentious, cocktail/gin/whisky bar.
Pub featuring an extensive selection of Scotch whiskies from various regions of Scotland. The food & other drinks are very good. I especially enjoyed the French onion soup. It can get quite loud though.
Excellent bar!
