Si je pouvais donner plus que cinq étoiles, je le ferais sans hésiter.
Parmi les milliers de restaurants où j'ai eu la chance de manger, Les Oiseaux se démarque totalement. C'est une expérience culinaire hors pair, du début à la fin. Nous avons choisi la table d'hôte trois services & tout était absolument impeccable. Les portions étaient généreuses, parfaitement équilibrées, & chaque plat racontait une histoire.
En entrée, les rillettes de canard accompagnées d'un pain au romarin succulent étaient déjà un moment en soi. En plat principal, le pavé de saumon & le parmentier de cerf étaient exécutés avec une maîtrise remarquable. & que dire des desserts… une mousse au chocolat riche & décadente, & la meilleure crème brûlée que j'ai mangée de toute ma vie.
Notre serveur, Jean-Francis, était extraordinaire. Il connaissait chaque ingrédient, chaque détail de l'assiette, & partageait son savoir avec passion & précision. Un service d'une qualité rare. Le chef Julian est tout simplement exceptionnel. On sent le talent, la rigueur & l'amour du métier dans chaque bouchée.
Il n'y a rien d'ordinaire dans ce restaurant. L'ambiance est chaleureuse, le personnel attentionné, & les deux heures passées sur place se sont écoulées sans que l'on voie le temps filer.
Un véritable petit trésor que je recommande sans la moindre hésitation. Nous avons déjà hâte d'y retourner.
Je manque de mots pour décrire à quel point l'expérience, l'atmosphère & la qualité du service nous ont impressionnés.

Delicious high end French courses. We had this on Christmas Eve & the waiter was very kind & helpful. The head chef was very good at his craft of cooking & the entire restaurant was extremely cozy & the atmosphere was amazing with soft lit candles & relaxing music. We had the 5 course meal & the ingredients are all local & freshly made. The free bread was also very fresh. You could tell the chef spent a lot of work & time preparing the dishes. Worth every dollar.

L'endroit a une entrée discrète, presque cachée, mais une fois à l'intérieur, c'est une belle surprise. On était un bon groupe avec deux enfants en bas âge, & ils nous ont accueillis avec le sourire, super accommodants.
La bouffe était vraiment excellente, une cuisine d'inspiration française avec une touche maison qui fait toute la différence. On sent que le chef est un vrai passionné, ça se goûte dans chaque plat !
Le service était au top, tout le monde a adoré, petits & grands. C'est clair qu'on a hâte d'y retourner !
Une superbe découverte ! Super soirée entre amis. Nous avons été traité comme des rois par le staff & le Chef lui-même. Equipe vraiment très sympatique & à l'écoute de leurs clients. Les plats sont surprenants de l'entrée au dessert & très gouteux. Il y a du talent ! En + les portions sont parfaites. On reviendra !
Delicious food, amazing service, & wonderful & friendly chef! The food was prepared with much care & was exceptionally fresh. I really loved the curry bread that was offered when I went, & it was overall a lovely experience. Highly recommend!
First time ever coming into Montreal & came to the right place for French Cuisine. Arthur at the reception & as a waiter was very polite & helpful with translating the menu for me & my parents. Julian the chef was just phenomenal, was very generous & hit the taste buds right on point. Definitely recommend this place if you want to have fine dining in Montreal.

Service was great! Joseph took great care of us. The food was really amazing & kudos to the chefs - the garlic focaccia was outstanding & everyone wanted more. The lamb shank was delicious & the light panna cotta just perfect to finish out the meal. Thanks for a really great location for our staff dinner & everyone enjoyed their experience!
Wonderful! Only slight issue was the jazz was a little loud as our table was right under the speaker, otherwise a wonderful evening. Compliments to the chef! Highly recommended.
Food & service was amazing! It wasn't the busiest since we came on a Monday evening, so I can only speak of an experience where the crowd was small.
With that said, we had the opportunity to sit at the corner by the window (best seat there, IMO) & the atmosphere felt very cute & calming.. with a little bit of class. Both the waiter & the chef regularly checked up on us, making sure everything was okay, & they both had a very pleasant & sincere charm to them.
As for the food itself, each plate came to us at a good pace. We got the foie gras to start (which was excellent) followed by the lamb shank & the beef steak, both done at just the right level of temperature & seasoning.
Definitely nothing to complain about, thank you for the experience!

Très bonne & belle assiette, les viandes ( veau pour moi & agneau pour mon conjoint) ont comblés nos attentes pour la cuisson, saveur & tendreté ! Les pains du chef , excellents ! Bref une belle soirée & nous pouvons recommander sans gêne!

Yes, we had a very nice meal. Stayed with the Table D' Hote menu - the food was very good-- Butternut Squash Soup & Smoked Salmon (+), Duck, & Lamb Shank (+), Panna Cotta, & Tiramisu. Good service from James, & met Chef Julian. Great guys. Nice comfortable, almost cozy atmosphere & setting, with great foreground jazz music.
Would like to see more Table D' Hote options without up charges & add a salad or two as a choice.
Love the food. Love the inventive game menu. But the service is much, much too slow. Two-&-a-half-hours for a two-course dinner is much too long. This is not the first time we've received apologies for the long wait times. Our patience is growing thin, despite how much we love the excellent work of the chef.
