Bought zepoles, very disappointed. They were soft like they are a day old, which has never happened with Lafrenaie elsewhere. First time at the pointe claire location & for sure my last one.
I bought a vanilla crepe cake. The layers of crepes were stacked unevenly & it actually looked a bit like the'Leaning Tower of Pisa.' It also seemed like there wasn't quite enough cream between the layers.
I know their cakes are popular & many people like them, which is why I made a special trip to get one.
However, the size I want is often unavailable, so I usually end up buying whatever is left without much choice, which is always a bit disappointing.
This time I bought it as a gift, & honestly it felt a little embarrassing.
Les Délices Lafrenaie Pointe-Claire is our favourite pastry shop in the area! We've tried several of their cakes over time, & every single one has been fresh, beautiful, & absolutely delicious.
Our longtime favourite has always been the strawberry shortcake - light, fluffy, & perfectly balanced with fresh strawberries & cream. But today we tried the canolli-misu, & wow… now it's honestly hard to choose between the two! It was rich, creamy, & full of flavour with the perfect sweetness.
If you're looking for high-quality cakes & a bakery that never disappoints, this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommended!
The desserts are absolutely amazing, beautifully made, delicious, & with a great variety to choose from. Prices are very reasonable for the quality & presentation, which makes this patisserie really stand out.
The only downside for me is the ingredient list. I wish they used simpler, more natural ingredients, & avoided things like palm oil, margarine, & excessive fillers. With cleaner recipes, this place would be truly exceptional.
Overall, still a great spot for desserts, & I hope they consider refining their ingredients in the future.

Got a lemoncello cake I just loved , lite after a big meal ... But plenty of choices , & the service was just ace ! Although I don't buy a pool pizza I think you pt. Claire PPL are lucky to have such a place ! I was a lasaller where pizza is the best but now I live in South shore & well ... It's not so great ... The pt claire you should appreciate this place !¡!
