Awesome new restaurant in Montreal. We tried it within the first few weeks of opening, & everything was impeccable. The decor & vibe really set the mood for the culinary experience to come. Fresh, meticulously prepared ingredients with great flavours. On the pricier end of the spectrum, but don't let that stop you from trying it!View more

We tried the oysters, beef tartare, gnocchi & monkfish. Everything was delicious. The restaurant is beautiful & the bathrooms are clean. Also the service was amazing. We even got the best seats in the house & got to watch Danny Smiles in the kitchen! Will definitely be coming back to this place again.View more

Le Violon is a neighborhood restaurant located in Plateau Mont-Royal that is refined & elegant. This fine dining establishment focuses mainly on seafood, pasta, meats & vegetables all locally sourced in Quebec. Although the food we had was on point the portions were small making it hard to share amongst 4 people. The sweetbreads at $40 were delicious but with such a small portion made it hard to share along with charging $7 for bread & not giving one piece to each of us. The service was friendly but sporadic at times as our drinks took sometime to come & being offered a second drink took also a lot longer than expected. Overall I would go back once there's a menu change & I'm sure by that time they will have ironed out any issues that can occur within the opening weeks.View more

I was so excited to try Montreal's newest restaurant, Le Violon & man, did it not disappoint. From the curated decor & lighting, to the refined service & harmonious menu - everything was delightful. Although on the pricier side, the cuisine is well worth it, as it is filled with surprise flavors, consistency & aromatic mouthfuls. The polished ambiance & skilled staff brought the entire experience together. Le Violon has to potential to be one of Montreal's top restaurants. Already looking forward to coming back!View more
