Good neighborhood bagels with that fresh, Montreal-style vibe - especially if you're grabbing them to go. The bagels I took home were really good later on, so we got to enjoy them for a bit longer.
That said, the menu is pretty limited, & I felt like the sandwiches were overpriced for what you get (tried the smoked salmon, breakfast deluxe & classic sesame & cream cheese). There wasn't enough toppings to justify the price, & by midday some key ingredients (like tomatoes) were already gone. Service can be a bit slow during busy times too, so be prepared for a wait if there's a line.
Overall solid bagels & a nice local spot (parking is a big plus!), but there's room for improvement in value & consistency of toppings/service.
This was honestly awful. Charging $13 for an untoasted bagel with a smear of cream cheese & a single tiny slice of smoked salmon is ridiculous. The cream cheese tasted off, which only made it worse. Making a decent bagel is not complicated, yet this completely missed the mark. I wanted to like this place since it's right by my home, but I'd much rather drive & get a significantly better bagel at Solomos for the same price. Not worth it.

The bagels were absolutely delicious - soft on the inside, perfectly toasted on the outside, & topped with just the right amount of cheese. Every bite was rich, fresh, & flavorful. Highly recommend if you're looking for a satisfying & tasty snack!
& the coffee was excellent - rich aroma, smooth texture, & perfectly balanced flavor. It was freshly brewed & full of depth, giving a great energy boost. Definitely a must-try for coffee lovers!

The staff at the bagel & coffee shop were friendly, attentive, & made sure everything was perfect. They greeted with a smile, served quickly, & made the experience warm & welcoming. Great service that makes you want to come back!
Cute place with excellent bagels & friendly people. We got ham, egg, & cheese on Parmesan bagels. We will definitely try their other flavors next time.
The Bagels were ok. We had the'vegge' sandwich. It would have been so much better if the sandwich was seasoned!!! No salt, pepper or any kind of addition to flavor the sandwich. The cheese was piled in the center & promptly fell out when you started eating. Lost opportunity to make it tasty bite!

My wife, kids, & I came here on our family trip. Great bagels. My wife had the sesame bagel with cream cheese, son had cinnamon/raisin, & I had the beer Parmesan bagel with ham/egg/lettuce/tomato. Owner was very nice & I would highly recommend this spot.

I was surprised to see that people have reviewed about Salmon Bagel but they have not mentioned Egg & Cheese Bagel as well as Cheese Cake bagel. We loved the Egg & Cheese & Cheese Cake bagel. I would highly recommend people to try this when visiting. Also the employee there are very kind & friendly as they understand your tastebuds & they are ready to suggest. It is my favourite place to visit whenever travelling to Montreal.
These bagel were good, but barely toasted & barely had cream cheese. We had the sesame, everything, & cheese bagel. My favorite was the everything with salmon & cream cheese. am the biggest fan of bagel but I don't see the hype. For the price, tim hortons bagel are better.
This is one of the best bagels I had ever. We tried vegetarian & cheesecake ones & both were great. Also, they have very delicious coffee, we tried latte & it was great, as well I strongly recommend this place.
Very tasty bagels in this small shop with limited seating. The man at the counter suggested the beer & cheese bagel for my smoked meat sandwich, & he was right!

By far the best bagels in Montreal... delicious, fresh, & crispy, made right in front of you. Amazing smoked salmon bagel & egg/cheese/avocado on everything. Everyone working there are so friendly & nice.
The most delicious bagels I have ever had!!!! Definitely recommend the saumon fumé & the cheesecake with the cinnamon & raisin bagel so so so delicious. The staff is super friendly & so welcoming
100% awesome! From the bagels to the service, this place is a gem. I'd ordered a bag of 7 bagels (all the flavors that day) on the phone & they had it ready & waiting when I arrived. The kind gentleman at the counter also threw in the last couple of bagel holes & some cream cheese for my friend, who'd come with me. That alone was so sweet & would have made me return again. But then I got home with the bagels to share with my husband... Were they good? Every. Single. Flavor. YES! Might even be the best in Montreal. Loved the beer cheese & chocolate/cranberry ones especially. Can't wait to go back next time in the city. Thanks again, Bagels Le Trou!
