During our first stay in Montreal, my wife & I discovered this place. This was the best bagel we have ever had! The smoked meat was excellent as well.

Great! Everyone was friendly & all 3 of the bagels I tried (in one sitting) were excellent The burgel in particular is genuinely better than many burgers from restaurants.

I was told that Montreal bagels were better than NYC bagels & I nearly fought that person. I tried Le Trou & I am reluctantly writing this review to say that he might be right. I had the salmon bagel & it was the best salmon bagel I've ever had. This place is fantastic.
