je dois dire que celui du roi du smoked meat est le meilleur & de loin. de plus le service est tres attentionné. j,y retourne à la première occsion!!!

I had the trio with fries. ,coleslaw, 1/4 pickle & a soft drink for only 15.95. This is a special for weekday lunches from 11am until 3pm. (please confirm with the restaurant). They also make excellent club sandwiches. Service is always 5 star. Opened late.
I had a delicious smoked meat platter there. The place is great. Feels like you are in an old movie. I specially liked the pickle. Highly recommend!
When you see the restaurant name Le Roi du Smoked Meat you think that is a super delicious but it was normal no difference at all & the men's bathroom. A big 0. Came on people clean the bathroom
We had the Smoked Meat Special. The smoked meat was tender & juicy but lacked a smoked taste. The coleslaw was good & so was the pickle. Was very disappointed with the frozen fries, that is why I gave 4 star for the food. The waitress was great, fast & efficient with a smile.

Le Roi du Smoked Meat is my comfort food goto whenever I'm in the neighborhood. The best smoked meat of anywhere in Montreal. Their Special Smoked Meat Sandwich come with the best fresh cut fries & the very best coleslaw of anywhere. The food is plain, simple, ample, & absolutely delicious. The portions are generous. The prices are reasonable. The service is fast & friendly. It ain't no fancy place, but in my opinion, it's the best smoked meat place in town. Located on Montreal's famous St. Huberts street, yes where St Hubert's chicken got its start, the street is famous for its food, fashion, & lounges. That's where you will find one of the oldest & greatest Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich of anywhere in Montreal. Ready for this - I rate Le Roi du Smoke Meat 6 out of 5 mustaches for its perfection & longevity. Long live the KING (ROI)!
A very atmospheric place to rediscover the atmosphere of'old Montreal'. The welcome was a bit aggressive due to confusion on the part of the person at reception. The smoked meat was overabundant but very watery & I don't see the point in eating it - save your meat eating opportunities for better quality meat. I would recommend this place to enjoy its ambience whilst eating a salad or chips - but not the smoked meat.
Excellente portions pour le prix pour les smoked meat, en plus ils sont vraiment bons. Ma place préféré à Montréal pour les smoked meat.

L'assiette de smoked meat avec les frites & la salade de chou est délicieuse & le service est rapide. Notre serveuse Suzanne fut formidable. Les desserts sont délicieux. Mon partenaire a adoré le gâteau forêt-noire.
Ça faisait longtemps que je n'avais pas été à Montréal, j'en ai profité pour aller au Roi du Smoked meat, toujours aussi beau, j'avais 14 ans la première fois que j'y suis allé, & j'y suis retourné souvent pendant les 50 années que j'ai demeuré à Mtl, & j'y retourne à chaque à occasion où je peux me le permettre
The kitchen looked spotless. They have a large menu selection & we tried the burgers & submarines. The burger was very disappointing, it was clearly one of those frozen Angus patties because the meat was clearly not mixed, I could see the strands of minced meat. The submarines were good but everyone got heartburn after. The poutine is ok. Seats are very close together & benches are tight. The dining area looks drab & dirty. Walls are peeling, fruit flies everywhere. We even saw a bug that looked like a bed bug coming from the bench. I think this place should be visited for smoked meat mostly & for take out. Staff is super nice & helpful. Not a handicap friendly place. Long set of stairs to get to the bathrooms.
