Dans un magnifique décor à l’ambiance feutrée, fruits de mer et plats français réconfortants y sont servis depuis l’heure du brunch jusqu’en soirée. En plus d’une somptueuse salle à manger dotée d’un bar qui convient autant aux repas de semaine qu’aux occasions particulières, l’endroit dispose d’une terrasse sur rue donnant l’impression d’être aux premières loges sur le tapis rouge.
Au sous-sol, une salle intime richement ornée de tableaux et pouvant confortablement accueillir 20 à 70 convives, est parfaite pour les événements privés et rencontres d’affaires. Son cellier vitré lui donne un air d’opulence et un coup d’œil exceptionnel. Connecté à la brasserie, le Salon Chez Swann, à l’intérieur de l’hôtel boutique du même nom, peut recevoir jusqu'à 24 invités.
Pour accompagner le tartare de bœuf classique, les cavatelli aux crevettes sauvages, le canard à la moutarde, la côte de veau aux champignons ou, mieux encore, un des incroyables plateaux de fruits de mer, la cave du Pois Penché comporte plus de 150 vins français. Incontournable pour les amateurs de vins et de cocktails, l’établissement présente plusieurs choix au verre comme à la bouteille dans toutes les gammes de prix.

Le Pois Penché offre une expérience française élégante et chaleureuse, où l'accueil est attentif et le service impeccablement professionnel, rendant chaque repas fluide et agréable. L'ambiance est raffinée mais cosy, avec un cadre chic qui reste accessible et une atmosphère qui peut être appréciée aussi bien au bar qu'en salle, parfois accompagnée d'une ambiance musicale live qui met à l'aise sans être envahissante. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Le Pois Penche on Friday 11/1/24 based on a recommendation from my hotel Le Nouvel Hotel. The quality of the food, the hip atmosphere, & the service were all exemplary, so much so that I went back Saturday night as well. I was seated Friday at the Oyster bar & had the pleasure to meet Julien a talented Oyster Man & amazing ambassador for Le Pois Penche & for Montreal in general. Julien described the available oysters in culinary detail & presented an artistic & delicious plate of oysters along with suggestions on accoutrements to complement the various oyster flavors. We'll be awaiting your oyster video Julien... My server Marwa was attentive, helpful, & pleasant. Based on my superb experience Friday, Marwa helped me book a reservation for a return Saturday with my daughter. On Saturday Julien thoughtfully introduced my daughter to raw oysters since she had never had them before & she loved them. After a delectable course of oysters, we dined on tomato & onion soup before moving on to a course of NY steak with mashed potatoes & mushrooms based on great suggestions from our premier server Marwa. She also suggested some fine wine to complement our meals. We both can't wait to return to this fine restaurant to experience the food, great atmosphere, fellow diners, & especially the superior service!!

The duck confict is very good & the onion soup was excellent. The meat of the hanger steak beef isn't soft, but the sauce is great. The dessert was delicious.
We went for a family dinner eight of us & a 1 year old. We had a fantastic time in the restaurant & the experience was first class from entering to leaving. The service was friendly & attentive & our waiter was an engaging, knowledgeable guy as well as giving great recommendations for specials. All of try dishes the group ate were all very good. I had the escargot & a fillet steak. Both were exceptionally good. It was our second time there & it was as good as the first time. Really enjoyed it.
We came here for our 10-year wedding anniversary & really wanted to like it but unfortunately the inconsistencies across the board left us with a disappointing overall experience. Food - entrées reasonably good (octopus 8/10, beef tartare 7/10), mains excellent (hanger steak & confit duck both 10/10), side of potatoes au gratin bland (5/10), desserts really inconsistent (crème brûlée was good nothing amazing 6/10 but the fondant was basically a muffin 0/10 as you can't call that fondant). Service - inattentive & rushed. Perhaps the servers are overworked as they did seem to be trying very hard but (1) poured us tap water into our half full glasses when we had been drinking sparkling (they did comp us a new bottle), (2) failed to ask us if we wanted any drinks after we finished our first ones, (3) did not check on food except after we had finished eating which meant we had basically finished mains before being able to bring to our waiter's attention that he'd forgotten our side order & (4) had to send back the fondant/muffin instead of asking for a correctly cooked one as we had finished eating & had been waiting for a while by then (in fairness they did not charge us for this dish) Would not recommend for any important celebrations given the current level of inconsistency which is a pity as the mains were really fantastic!

Amazing service, food & atmosphere. Probably one of my favourite restaurants in Montreal. The escargot was delicious. (First time trying it). Oysters were fresh with a large selection. Steak was delicious & perfectly cooked. Will definitely be returning. The fresh bread they serve is absolutely delicious. 10/10.
Rating this place a 5 star does not actually do justice to the amazing hospitality the team here delivers. For the second night running, my wife & I had dinner here & we were not disappointed. Right from the door, Olivier greeted us warmly as he could pick out our faces from the previous day. My wife ordered the Atlantic Salmon which was perfect. I had ordered the Classic beef but when it came, it was not what I had in mind. Clement took it upon himself to order something else for me - steak. He added a side of salad. All this at no extra cost. To say I left happier than I came in is an understatement. Thanks to Clement & all the team that keep making clients happy.
My husband & I just had dinner here. He had the NY steak & I had the Duck confit & they were both cooked to perfection & tasted great. Beyond the great meals, they have amazing hospitality & customer service. We will be back & will definitely recommend to any of our family & friends visiting Montreal.
first night here in montreal with my friends for a trip this place was soo gooddd yes the prices are expensive but the quality of the steak & fish was great the waiters were so sweet & very welcoming & quick to detail we waited for a while but it was worth the wait! the bread was delish & so was the onion soup this was the first time i tried escargot & it actually tasted so bomb!! definitely great way to end the first day here~ merci beautiful :)
Ambience was amazing. Food was tasty & fresh & good size portions. We enjoyed the Bouillablaisse, crab cakes & the lamb steak. Our host was very friendly & answered all our questions. However, we did have to wait about 20min after being seated to get water & bread basket. & it was very warm inside the restaurant even with the windows/doors open. Maybe ceiling fans could help (summer time). We will definitely return but book outdoor patio when weather is hot.
I love this place so much , the food is absolutely delicious, I had their foie gras & duck confit & my friend had a steak , I literally wanted to kiss a chef who made my duck, so crispy yet meat is melting in your mouth. Speacial thank you to Marwa for her professionalism & excellent customer service, we enjoyed our conversation with her ❤️

First time visit at Le Pois Penche & certainly it won't be last. Love the atmosphere & vibe of the restaurant. We were seated close to the kitchen & you could feel the warmth & energy of the chefs hard at work. Our waiter was amazing & offered great suggestions! We mainly went there for the oysters & some appetizers. I ended get the New York steak which was cooked to perfection! The French bread was a nice starter & it was nice & warm ! Overall 5 stars all around! Bravo 👏

Musique ambiante qui ne va pas avec le style chic du restaurant. Heureusement, ils ont accepté de changer. Le serveur n'a aucune expérience sur l'accord mets-vin. Ils a de la difficulté à nous conseiller Nous prenons une bouteille de bulles à 245$, mais impossible d'avoir le filet mignon en croûte de pistache, sur le menu St-Valentin, parce que l'ensemble de la table ne le prend pas. Nous étions 4. Mais, si nous étions assis à deux table différentes ça aurait été possible... Steak, tout juste acceptable. Tartare, bon, mais certainement pas le meilleur. Il y avait longtemps que nous voulions y aller. C'est fait. Y retournerai-je? Non. 430$ plus pourboire. Trop cher !
We flew from Toronto to Montreal to celebrate my birthday a few weeks ago. Stayed only 2 nights one of which had to include Le Pois Penché for dinner. It was amazing as always! Beautiful shrimp then we had the Steak Frites, the meat was so tender & tasty & the frites were heaven! Wonderful wine, beautiful atmosphere & superb service! Every trip back home I have to drop in its that special. Thx to LPP...Chantal
