If you crave syrian food with a bistro kind of vibe this is the place!
The restaurant has a wide choice of vegetarian options & meat ones so you can bring all your friends with you!
I suggest you to follow the waiter recommandations if it is the first time there!
I had tabboule, hummus, labne, mouttabal, falafel & a lamb plate!
The prices are affordable compared to the montreal average restaurant prices.
I definitely go back & recommend people to go there!
Wow. I am very passionate about syrian/lebanese food. Having tried many, in different places of the world, this place might be my #1 ever. Their mezze, meat, etc. It's simply incredible. The food is so loaded in flavour, I can't even describe it.
If I had to pick one place for improvement, I'd say - don't give customers bread in the plastic bag. Heat it before, serve it in a nice little basket (or even find a bakery that can make syrian bread for you to serve). That would be the cherry on top.
I'm Syrian so I'll be a bit picky in my review. Overall the place is excellent, especially for the price point (really good value). The hummus, moujadara, & Kabbab Kach-Kach were great. The muhamara was not good. The Sea Bass fish with arak was below expectations. The vine leaves were fantastic. The atmosphere & service were great. The place is authentic & fun & I would totally come again.
Had lunch at this casual Syrian restaurant near Jean Talon Market. Tried kebab & they were tasty. Combo with salad/rice available as an option. Good service & atmosphere also.
Take out. Excellent Syrian food. Seriously good & the staff was so kind I wished I stayed there for dinner.
Authentic & delicious Syrian-Lebanese food! The hummus was creamy, the grilled meats were perfectly seasoned, & the service was warm & welcoming. Highly recommend for a taste of the Levant!
I had heard a lot about this place, & it came highly recommended by some friends. So, I decided to give it a try, but to be honest, it didn't live up to the hype. Initially, I was excited as I browsed the menu & recognized some familiar dishes, but that excitement quickly faded. The menu was missing many of Aleppo's signature dishes, such as Kebbeh Safarjalieh & Kebab Betinjan (aubergine kebab). We started with Yalandji (stuffed vine leaves), which unfortunately were chewy & lacked freshness. The Fattoush was also disappointing, with a very small portion size. After that, we had to wait almost 45 minutes for our main courses; Kebab Khish Khach & Shish Tawouk. Both dishes were underwhelming. The Shish Tawouk came with only one skewer & just a few pieces of bread. We even had to order garlic sauce & fries separately to go with the dish. As someone of Syrian origin, I found the kebab dish particularly lacking in flavor. On the bright side, despite the long wait for our main courses, the service was good, & the staff were friendly. The atmosphere of the place wasn't bad either, but considering the prices, the overall experience fell short in terms of both service level & food quality.
Amazing food. Ordered the Moussaka, Labneh,Chicken Tarator, kebab Khach-Khach 2 skewers. First time trying out Syrian cuisine. Splendid
