Nous avons eu une excellent expérience. Le service était sympathique & attentionné (on nous amène un booster, un cahier à colorier avec crayons pour notre petite… sans même demander!)
Nous avons partagé plusieurs items, tout était délicieux: kefta, pitas, grillades de poulet, salade fattouche, frites. Ils ont une belle carte des vins. À recommander !
Nous y sommes allés un jeudi soir en plein été & que dire…bien que l'ambiance & l'esthétique du resto est très attirante, la cuisine quant à elle n'a rien à envier à un étoilé. Dès la première bouchée, c'est un voyage culinaire qui s'offre à vous. Les mezzes sont exécutés parfaitement, avec un assaisonnement à la pointe & de belles quantités. Mention spéciale au kebab de poulet qui était succulent & fondant. Le service est top, à l'écoute & toujours à notre petit soin ! Sans parler de la carte des vins, mais la je devrai écrire un paragraphe en plus.

Impeccable, à l'exception d'un conseiller aux vins tellement désagréable. Prochaine fois qu'il est là, je ne commanderai pas de vin juste pour ne pas avoir à lui parler. Il ruine l'expérience.

I'm Syrian so I'll be a bit picky in my review. Overall the place is excellent, especially for the price point (really good value). The hummus, moujadara, & Kabbab Kach-Kach were great. The muhamara was not good. The Sea Bass fish with arak was below expectations. The vine leaves were fantastic. The atmosphere & service were great. The place is authentic & fun & I would totally come again.

We really enjoyed everything here. Alex asked if we wanted him to just bring us food until we told him to stop, which was a great idea. The shish filet, the hummus, the sauces, it's all terrific. The salad dressing is the right blend of vinegar & mint. They add cumin in the proportion to knock your tongue backward.
Ça fait deux fois que j'y vais & que j'en sors peu satisfaite. J'ai l'impression que j'aborde le restaurant de la mauvaise manière, c.-à-d. comme un bistro vin & mazza, mais qu'en fait c'est plus un bistro style St-Hubert à la Syrienne. Les plats ne sont pas aussi frais que j'aimerais, ils ont trop de sauces & semblent être préparer largement trop d'avance. C'est aussi tellement acide, qu'entre autres s'est perdu le goût de l'agneau. Bref, le menu à partager est moins le vibe honnêtement, même si c'est ce qu'on me recommande au service. & ce, surtout pour une occasion spéciale. Une partie de l'expérience se trouve à savoir où on est, pas de croire qu'on est en quelque part alors qu'on est ailleurs… C'est vraiment très casual comme expérience culinaire, même si le service se veut selon les standards de la gastro, avec une carte des vins super. Personnellement, je trouve que ça clash un peu trop, ou j'ai mal lu les intentions du restaurant. Ouais, il fait vraiment le voir comme du St-Hub syréen avec du vraiment bon vin. Je crois que si j'y vais une autre fois, ça va être pour dîner & je vais prendre un plat avec des frites. Ça devrait aussi être parfait pour les dîners d'affaires dans le coin, ou pour un souper avec les enfants improvisé. Pour les occasions spéciales, comme des retrouvailles, c'est bof.
Le service était EXTRAORDINAIRE, je n'ai jamais eu un aussi bon service au restaurant! Les serveurs s'y connaissaient dans tous les plats, était serviable, attentionné, disponible. La nourriture était tout aussi bonne & savoureuse, elle me semblait très authentique & les serveurs nous expliquaient l'origine & une brève description pour chaque plate. Je recommande le menu découverte! Un excellent rapport qualité prix & une cave à vin impressionnante (demander une recommandation au sommelier, il est très bon)
Nous avons fait la découverte de cet endroit à la suite d'une journée de perfectionnement à Montréal. Pour une première visite, nous avons été agréablement surpris ! Maude, notre serveuse, nous a suggéré un menu découverte personnalisé & tout était absolument délicieux. Le sommelier nous a recommandé un vin rouge qui s'accordait à merveille avec nos plats. De l'accueil au service, en passant par l'ambiance, nous avons tout adoré. Une expérience à renouveler. Merci !
Excellente cuisine syrienne dans une ambiance tendance & décontractée, à deux pas du marché Jean-Talon. Terrasse sur la rue, service impeccable & bon choix de vins & de bières. Je recommande vivement.
I had heard a lot about this place, & it came highly recommended by some friends. So, I decided to give it a try, but to be honest, it didn't live up to the hype. Initially, I was excited as I browsed the menu & recognized some familiar dishes, but that excitement quickly faded. The menu was missing many of Aleppo's signature dishes, such as Kebbeh Safarjalieh & Kebab Betinjan (aubergine kebab). We started with Yalandji (stuffed vine leaves), which unfortunately were chewy & lacked freshness. The Fattoush was also disappointing, with a very small portion size. After that, we had to wait almost 45 minutes for our main courses; Kebab Khish Khach & Shish Tawouk. Both dishes were underwhelming. The Shish Tawouk came with only one skewer & just a few pieces of bread. We even had to order garlic sauce & fries separately to go with the dish. As someone of Syrian origin, I found the kebab dish particularly lacking in flavor. On the bright side, despite the long wait for our main courses, the service was good, & the staff were friendly. The atmosphere of the place wasn't bad either, but considering the prices, the overall experience fell short in terms of both service level & food quality.
