A gem of a French restaurant. Each dish was fantastic. Excellent quality & freshness of ingredients prepared to perfection.Ambiance is nice , not too loud, friendly attentive staff. The only problem with our dinner was that our wine was corked! LOL, so next time we will bring a second bottle. Lesson learned!

We came here to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday & it is our first time having French cuisine together. Amazing food & experience. You can bring your own wine. Servers are extremely friendly & explained the dishes to us (only French menu is provided). Very affordable prices for a set menu that includes soup/salad, appetizer, main & dessert - they are very generous with portion. Definitely go with an empty stomach & you won't be disappointed!! Will visit here again when we are in Montreal next time. :)
Nice tiny restaurant with great food & wonderful service. The portion of the food is great & flavor was amazing. It also helps that it's Boyb so we could pair a wine of our liking 😊 the waiter was very nice & patient explaining the French menu so we could figure out what we want. We had a good time here
Reservations recommended & be aware that the space is fairly small but cozy. Food was amazing & staff were friendly & helpful when our group didn't speak French.

Very cute little BYOB spot nestled in this residential neighborhood is a high quality french restaurant. Bring a nice bottle of wine because the quality of the ingredients were the bomb.
It starts off with a soup or salad
Followed by an entrée
You can opt for a palette cleanser where they made this apple/pear puré with a local brandy
Then we had an amazing boeuf bavette & short rib - the portion was huge
Loved the goat liver mousse, it was an absolute revelation! & the foie gas paired with nutty bread – it was nothing short of perfection! The bison steak was a flawless medium-rare, growing more flavorful with each bite, truly astounding! The short rib slow-cooked to perfection, fell off the bone effortlessly, & it was incredibly flavorful. Each course of the four-course French meal was a delightful surprise. Thanks for made my day!
It was an amazing French dining experience for me & my bf. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who guided us through the menu with expertise. Every dish was a work of art, beautifully presented & bursting with flavor. Fyi, you can BYOW! :)
We travelled to Montreal for a wedding from Miami, Florida. I really wanted to try some French cuisine & founnd Le Pegase while searching on Google. It did not disappoint. The food was delicious, the service impeccable (we do not speak french so greatly appreciated the kindness shown during the translation). I adored the intimacy of the space & the BYOB was perfect. I enjoyed our meal even more than Monarque which was highly recommended to us before. It is a different atmosphere & vibe, but the food quality was superior. We will come back when we are in Montreal.

Le Pégase is an unpretentious French restaurant that offers food you will find in the excellent little country side restaurants all over France. The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, & warm. The prices are more than reasonable, also thanks to the bring-your-own-drink policy. It is my go-to restaurant in my neighborhood for French cooking & so far I have eaten there four times yet, & all my previous experiences were flawless, the food was excellent. My last visit was just slightly off compared to the previous ones, & it pains me a bit to write about this considering all meals I had there before were just flawless. This time, however, I found that my gnocchi entrée was slightly cold, & the beef i had was a bit undercooked (I was not asked a cooking temperature, so I assume this was the standard); in contrast, the gratin dauphinoise was very hot & I burnt my tongue a bit. Regardless, the food overall was great & of course I will come back here.
The restaurant is situated in sort of a living room situation, which makes for a very friendly & casual atmosphere that I really appreciate at Le Pégase; a slight disadvantage, & this is not the first time it happened, is the unfortunate change in our culture that all seems to be centred around oneself, & the surrounding world is not longer much perceived or considered. So, twice now at Le Pégase we had to endure screaming diners that were so loud that for brief periods of time we could no longer hear our own conversation. This is not just my perception, as other diners surrounding us expressed the same annoyance. I guess this is just a sign of the times, where people walk the streets like zombies, zoned out thanks to their sound-cancelling headphones & fixation onto the screens of their so-called smartphones.
In sum, this is an excellent restaurant for well-executed French food resembling the experience of classic French countryside dining.
We really enjoyed our meal at Le Pegase last night! The food was fabulous, & the service was top notch. Thanks to our host for helping us with the French menu! It was very crowded for a Sunday night - don't know if that's unusual in Montreal or not - & some of the patrons were very loud which kind of took away from the atmosphere. Other than that, everything was great!
