Le Pégase is a charming and cozy hidden gem in Montreal known for its traditional French cuisine and welcoming atmosphere. Guests frequently praise the restaurant for its high-quality, generously portioned set menus that offer exceptional value, making it a favorite for special occasions and regular dining alike. As a bring your own wine establishment, it provides a unique and cost-effective experience that many diners find memorable. Le Pégase is one of the top French restaurants in the city. You get a set menu to choose 4 dishes (soup/salad, entree, main dish & dessert) & meal is priced as per the main course. The dishes are fresh, unique & totally worth the money. The place is incredibly small & usually packed (because of how good it is) which means that it's difficult to have a conversation without overhearing other tables. I would definitely come back here for special occasions.

- Bread: Cold, butter softened, chicken liver pate - phenomenal. I could eat it all.
- Soup. Rutabaga, very clean, flavourful & perfect hotness for the mouth.
- The froe grois: Cold like a stick of butter.
- Creamy, smooth, bread was lightly toast very airy. Apricot citrus balance & roasted peanuts.
- Duck breast: cooked medium, it could be rarer. Flavour was on point. Very full with the potato like root in bottom. Crispy skin. Demi-glaze. Beans carrots & Bok choy.
- Crème brûlée: thin sugar brûlée on top. Creme was creamy with a touch of French vanilla. Maple syrup.
- Chocolate mousse : nice presentation, too sweet. It didn't need the extra caramel or chocolate sauce on top. The peanuts complimented the texture & taste.

The portion size for each dish is very generous. Cost to Quality to quantity 👍🏻👍🏻
We noticed many people brought their own wine to pair with the food.

Food came out quickly, after each dish was served.

Restaurant is very cozy & quaint. There is barely any room between the neighbouring tables. When the server was at the other table, his butt bumped into my arm twice. It was rather firm.

I would Highly Recommend it this restaurant to everyone.
I will come back.

A tiny restaurant in suburban Montreal with the best French bistro food. We loved everything we ate. It is a fixed price 3 course meal & BYO for alcohol

Brilliant French bistro. Incredible four-course dinner. Do remember to bring your own wines as there are seemingly no drinks menu. A sin not to have wine aside.

Le Pégase is a great spot for French food! The portions are huge, so you definitely get your money's worth. They have some really unique sauce combinations that make the dishes stand out. From appetiser to dessert!

The lamb rack was amazing-crispy on the outside, super tender & juicy inside. Easily one of the best I've had!

On top of that, the staff is super friendly & makes the experience even better. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

A good & small French style restaurant. Bring your own wine since they do not sale wine. The quality/ price ratio was correct. The server didn't ask us how we would like our meat (we had lamb & duck breast), & they were almost raw & unpleasant to eat. Otherwise, thing were ok overall

An expensive but worthwhile French style experience. A great place to celebrate with friends or family. Delicious food made by the talented chef. You pay for an entrée, main meal, & dessert. All of which are high quality & delicious.
