Le Mēkong, qui tire son nom du célèbre fleuve d’Asie, puise son inspiration culinaire dans les pays qui le bordent. Le Mēkong est un point d’ancrage qui réunit les différentes identités asiatiques, un lieu convivial où l’on aime s’arrêter et s’évader le temps de quelques coups de baguettes.

Le Mekong offre une expérience asiatique authentique avec des plats savoureux et frais, des saveurs riches et équilibrées qui séduisent et des portions généreuses permettant de goûter à plusieurs plats sans se priver. La carte met en valeur des classiques bien exécutés, du pad thai au curry en passant par des spécialités de fruits de mer, et les cocktails ainsi que les mocktails apportent une touche originale et rafraîchissante. Really great food, ambience, & service. The cocktails were unconventional & super interesting. You'll have to wait a while for the food but it's completely worth it- it's all freshly made & very tasty. Please take the negative reviews talking about the service with a pinch of salt. People really need to stop throwing a tantrum if they don't feel adequately'greeted' &'welcomed'. You're going to a restaurant to eat good food & enjoy the experience - not an ego boost. 100 percent recommend this place.
An upscale Thai restaurant. They have an extensive Thai menu including fresh seafood & vegetarian options. The full bar serves excellent cocktails & mocktails with a Thai twist. Service is attentive & timely. Seating is available outside, inside, & on a patio for parties. The atmosphere is fun & ethnic. Reservations are recommended.
The food is a must try. I had the Tom Kha soup the Green Curry (C3) dish + shrimp. They were very tasty & flavorful. Other members of my party ordered the PadThai & the Cari Paneang (with peanut based stew & fried spinach... We enhoyed every bite to the last... The service was friendly, fast & courteous.. The portions are huge & the prices are very reasonable. Honestly, food & service is amazing.. Come try & see for yourselves. Eric served & the owner Lan came to the table to ask if we enjoyed our meals & was quite welcomingnl & friendly. She even did our cocktails.. 👍🏼👍🏼
D'une des perles rares du Plateau & même de Montréal. Leurs plats sont dignes du sud est de l'Asie! Je recommande fortement leur pad thai qui est authentique avec tamarin & leur choix de cocktails à essayer absolument! Le service est irréprochable, on se sent chez soi & le personnel est très accueillant! Allez y!!
Nous avons vraiment beaucoup aimé notre repas. Le cari rouge est absolument délicieux mais aurait pu être plus piquant, c'est très généreux en légumes. Miam!! Le pad thaï est aussi très bon. J'ai pris le cocktail « Chinois », que je recommande fortement.
This place is criminally underrated. I've walked past it so many times but we eventually went in twice, & both times it was good. Once on a Friday, once on a slow day. It is so rare to find consistency in restaurants at this price point. Portions are huge & are really fresh, even what you would traditionally presume is not. Try their general tao, or panang curry. Phenomenal. Cocktails are a bit pricey but otherwise literally zero complaints, will likely be one of our regular spots.

Aside the waitress telling me when should I order my drink so it would be served on time, thefood & atmosphere were great! ...Beware of order a cocktail when you arrive or she gets angry!! 😜
Repas gâché par de la musique trop forte. La terrasse est très bien située, les plats étaient bons, même si le riz n'était pas bien cuit, les cocktails sans intérêt. Les portions sont trop copieuses & le service assez lent.
Had the pleasure of dining at Le Mekong on a lovely summer evening. The terrasse was a great vibe & the food was excellent. We enjoyed a Singha Thai Beer & the Tuk Tuk cocktail. As an appetizer we had a nice & spicy papaya salad. For the food we took a Kang Paneang with Shrimp & a vegetarian Kang Kiew Van. Both were excellent. Will definitely be back!
Un restaurant impeccable qui figure actuellement parmi mes préférés sur le Plateau. Un restaurant où l'ambiance est feutrée & où le client est traité aux petits oignons. Le personnel est attentif, la nourriture exquise, les cocktails aussi & on s'y sent si bien. Allez-y en courant.

Cuisine thaïlandaise savoureuse, resto bien situé au coeur du Plateau, excellent cocktail... mis à part le fait que le staff nous a pressé de partir afin de fermer, c'est une adresse à retenir.
The restaurant is beautiful & all the staff were lovely. Really nice service, & you could tell they liked working there. The portions are also very large. Unfortunately, the food was not great. I found it bland & it didn't taste like Thai food. I don't plan on even thinking about coming back. Should we have stuck to the Classics menu & ignored the specialties? Then again the server said he loved the dish I ordered. I read so many rave reviews, so I'm sitting here wondering if I ordered the wrong things... But at the same time, there shouldn't be so many wrong things to order. Only one dish out of five rose above "okay". The Larp Kai (chicken salad) was a real miss. We get papaya salad often at other places, & wanted to try something new. We didn't specify spice levels, because we didn't feel we had to in order to get a decent amount of heat in a Thai restaurant... Sadly there was no spice at all, & the flavour as a whole was really bland. Its just chicken, red onion & lime. I tasted cilantro in just one bite, definitely no mint or grilled rice flavour involved. I was hoping for something herbaceous & fresh & light, & it was a real let down. The imperial rolls & the sauce were decent enough flavour wise, though I wish the sauce was amped up a bit. The filling was surprisingly juicy, but the wrapper felt a little thick & a bit tough & lacked the shattering crunch you crave from an imperial roll. The pork sausage was our favourite dish. Nicely browned skin but still very juicy inside, & the seasoning was very nice. This one actually tasted like Thai food. My only frustration is that the sausages are on a bed of delicious, crispy fried onions & whatnot, but they are nearly impossible to get in your mouth (too long, & somehow difficult to cut in half) & the plate is too flat & narrow to scoop them up easily with a fork or cut them, so I just ended up with a bunch of crispy bits all over the table. My partner ordered the Douchi Beef, which we agreed was nothing special. I had Jiaoyan Youyu (fried calamari). Once again I was frustrated by the plating. The calamari pieces were very large, way too much for one bite. Cutting food is no big deal, but cutting food that is in a very deep, curved bowl is not fun (& I destroyed the crunchy coating on the squid doing so). This dish was nothing to write home about either. If I'm being honest, every dish except the sausage made me think of Chinese take out. The kind of Chinese takeout you order because its "pretty good" & it'll hit the spot at 1am when everything else is closed. & there's nothing wrong with that kind of food, but its not what I expect from an expensive Thai restaurant. I've never cared or thought much about music in a restaurant before, but the music here was noticeably boring (I didn't know such a thing was possible). Repetitive trendy trendy repetitive beats. Cocktails were also just ok. The Thai cocktail just tasted like a regular mojito, which surprised me given the ingredients - lots of chopped thai basil in the drink, but the flavour didn't come through. Was it muddled at all? & again, zero spice from the spicy galangal syrup. The Khmer was also a letdown, just a sweet pineapple drink with no balance & no ginger coming through. Again, the service was really really nice. So I feel bad writing this. But the food was that much of a letdown.
Resto très agréable, tout est excellent sauf peut-être le poulet général tao qui laisse à désirer. Personnel souriant & décontracté.

I showed up for an early mean, so it was relatively calm. The staff were personable & warm. As it was my first visit, they gave me some recommendations. I tried one of their Thai-style curries. The size was clearly meant for 2 people, but I was told that the flavor was a must, so I went for it anyway.
It was worth it. The sauce was rich & spicy, flavorful without being overwhelming. I switched out the rice for rice noodles for an extra 2$. I did not regret it. Delicious. I also tried one of their signature cocktails, the Viet. Tart, sweet & spicy. Great balance.
