Review Summary

Le Gras Dur draws strong praise for its poutine and burgers, with many reviewers calling the poutine the best in town and the burgers juicy with a well balanced texture and flavorful toppings. Service is repeatedly described as fast, attentive, and friendly, contributing to a positive atmosphere and consistent kitchen care. The option to enjoy a food truck meal is mentioned, along with the ability to take food to go, adding value for many diners. Desserts such as house made beignets with Oreo and maple are highlighted as a standout, and the overall quality and consistency are frequently cited as reasons to return. Some reservations appear, including notes that portions can be small for the price, occasional menu items may feel overrated or not as strong as the main hits, and a few experiences reference oil quality or other service inconsistencies. Overall, Le Gras Dur is considered a must try by many, offering excellent poutine and burgers and a warm, inviting dining experience, while reminding readers to manage expectations on pricing and portion size.

So some countries call chicken sandwiches "chicken burgers". I thought they meant the same thing with the smoked meat sandwich. It turns out it was a hamburger topped with smoked meat. It was ok, just not what I expected, especially at the price point (priced as much as a smoked meat sandwich).

Best poutine in the city, no question. Got the famous smoked meat poutine & it's so good I'll probably dream about it. Great service!

Food court atmosphere with quick service. Card only, efficient service, but not in the super friendly range but no complaints. Petite size is filling. We tried Bacon & Smoked meats poutine. Both were good, not the best though. Good place to stop with a group who want different things.
