About

Le Gras Dur specializes in unapologetically bold comfort food centered on thick, juicy burger patties and decadent, cheese-heavy poutine variations. These menu items feature high-quality proteins served on fresh, toasted brioche buns that maintain structural integrity despite the generous portions of house-made sauces and savory toppings. The kitchen focuses on technical precision in frying potatoes to ensure optimal crispness before drenching them in signature gravies and authentic squeaky cheese curds. Beyond the classic beef offerings, the menu showcases creative sandwich combinations that blend textures and intense flavor profiles for a cohesive eating experience. Each component remains consistent, reflecting a commitment to hearty preparations that prioritize raw culinary impact over complex presentation. This establishment functions as a primary destination for those seeking substantial, flavor-forward dishes executed with focused, professional efficiency.

Review Summary

Le Gras Dur is widely recognized for its high-quality comfort food, with many diners praising the authentic cheesesteak, flavorful burgers, and award-winning poutine. While the majority of visitors highlight the friendly service, efficient staff, and delicious menu variety, including unique sides like mac and cheese bites and homemade donuts, opinions remain divided regarding portion sizes and overall value. Some customers have expressed disappointment with occasional inconsistencies in food quality, particularly during high-volume events, citing concerns about oil freshness and flavor balance. Despite these mixed experiences, the establishment remains a popular destination for those seeking a satisfying meal in a casual atmosphere.

Cheese was mediocre, gravy was okay but too overpowering, not that much meats. Overall disappointing, better poutine options even inside le central.

Went here after we learned that a restaurant we made a reservation at wasn't open. First tip - Le Central is a food court (we weren't aware), not that we cared, we were very hungry & the atmosphere was great. The staff was super sweet & we chuckled as we tried to find the words in familiar English to describe "medium rare". Burger was good, beer was good, poutine was good. We were happy we stopped in.

Going to Central Market to eat & enjoy is always fun 😁...time flies quickly in this place. This time, I ordered a grande Tousqui poutine with a can of Pina colada. The poutine was filling, a good portion of meat in it, & delicious. I like the system of providing a buzzer to all customers to notify them about the order. The service was fast too, & it's usually a pickup at this place. I enjoyed my time & filled my stomach at Le Gras Dur Au.
