Le Dépanneur Café apparaît comme un lieu chaleureux et boheme où le café est souvent excellent, le cappuccino apprécié et les sandwiches simples mais gourmands, le tout dans une ambiance intime avec une musique live qui rythme la journée et crée une vibe détendue propice au travail, à la lecture ou aux rencontres; la terrasse estivale et la décoration donnent une impression de lieu unique et convivial, et le service est généralement chaleureux avec des prix raisonnables, même si certains trouvent la musique parfois trop forte ou la propreté inégale selon l’heure; dans l’ensemble, c’est un endroit à revisiter, reconnu pour son ambiance musicale locale et son cadre cosy montréalais.
The negative vibes from the female staff is really something else. They act so cold & stuck up. They have no people skills in terms of kindess or carrying conversations. Having warm & kind people skills is what helps create an inviting atmosphere for any business Just cold & not warm & inviting. Think the owner needs to reconsider his staff choice. The males are always nice & kind though. The live music, coffee & food is incredible & the saving grace here.

The live music was appreciated even though it was a bit too loud for my liking (I struggled to hear my friend during our conversation at times), but the coffee was delicious & the workers here are lovely! Service was quick & cordial
Lovely bohemian place with free music all day. Friendly relaxed vibe, people chilling out, listening to music, painting, reading & working on laptops. Didn't eat so no comment on food.
Un petit café plein de charme avec une ambiance super chaleureuse ! Des musicien·ne·s viennent y jouer en live, ce qui rend l'endroit encore plus magique. & l'été, la terrasse est absolument adorable, super pour profiter du soleil avec un bon café.
Excellent spot ! Le lieu est très très agréable pour n'importe quel moment de la journée ! Les grilled cheese sont délicieux.
De plus, des musiciens jouent à tour de rôle toute la journée.
I enjoyed an excellent espresso & what might just be Montreal's best carrot cake. The real highlight, though, is the live music: we had the chance to hear Mari Sild perform, along with two other talented groups. This venue is a must-visit!

It's a lovely hangout & enjoyable atmosphere although I have to say that the music is pretty loud. I enjoy live music but it's hard to have a casual brunch & chat with a musician desperately trying to make a good performance.
Très joli petit cafe chill & hype . Le gateau carottes est très bon, la deco est sympa , piano, aquarelles aux murs en vieille brique . C était un lendemain de noel donc pas eu droit aux groupes de music live mais un fond sonore musical très sympa & recherche, on y reviendra sûrement. Menu simple & abordable. Toujours bon & sympa des mois après
I cannot believe I have never been to this cafe before! The sandwich they make is so amazing! I loved it. Simple, delicious & inexpensive. It's absolutely a place you have to go if you felt like most fancy cafes these days are just a hype… this place is just humbly charming. Live music with the love & support to local artists is also such a heartwarming uniqueness of the cafe. I cannot wait to go back ❤??🔥
Now this is a quintessential cafe in my book. I want to say it's the best I've ever been in (of many hundreds) but that might just be enthusiasm of several good visits talking. Firstly, it's both spacious & cozy, red brick walls mixed with couches, tables, stand up bar as well as a back room that feels more private but is more for noisier chatting. In the main room is, quite unbelievably, is live music every single day between 10-5pm which sends this cafe into another category of shared social spaces entirely. It is successful as a space to sit & read quietly, chat with a friend or listen to rather chill live music. The menu is small but good & coffee is great & always improving. Can't give it a better review. &! Many of the patrons actually have books with them which is heart warming to see.
