Review Summary

Le Clara, located within the Place des Arts complex, offers a stylish and quiet setting that many guests find ideal for pre-show dining, often highlighting the professional and attentive service provided by the staff. While numerous patrons praise the delicious food, creative menu, and excellent wine selection, others express frustration regarding limited vegetarian or vegan options and inconsistent portion sizes. Feedback on the culinary experience is polarized, with some diners celebrating the quality of dishes like the steak tartare, while others report disappointment with food preparation, ingredient freshness, and value for the price. Overall, the atmosphere and convenience make it a popular choice for theatergoers, though experiences vary significantly regarding the consistency of the meals and the kitchen's ability to accommodate specific dietary preferences.

Interesting presentations, but if you're hungry before showtime, we do Not recommend this Resto.
Dishes are barely a small'fistful of food', at most.

I completely agree with a previous diner, Françoise, you can almost count the grains.
Certainly not worth the $200 per couple bill.
&, later we too were hungry, & needed street food.

This restaurant was recommended by Place des Arts & is within the complex as we had tickets to show that evening. We got there a little early (around 5 pm) & lots of seating s available. Closer to show time the place was packed. Service was very good & quick. The menu was limited but good choices. Overall we were satisfied but not outstanding.

A surprising out-of-the-way gem of a restaurant nestled in the PLACE des ARTS CENTRE on the beautiful pedestrian mall section of Rue Sainte - Catherine.
A unique seating arrangement around a circular art display supplemented by terrific service & a superlative chef & kitchen producing distinct menu offerings. My STEAK TARTARE was a generous portion of lovely flavours as was the PAN-FRIED TROUT & CANDIED RATATOUILLE & served simply (no unnecessary sides) to highlight the dishes' excellence.
Lovely wine selections to compliment the most enjoyable dinner in this unique venue. What an enjoyable vacation'find' for us!!!!
SUGGESTION: confirm their hours with the restaurant. Their website states open for dinner 4:30 to 11:00 p.m (...&'According to the shows at Place des Art ) but as we walked in fairly late we were just a bit rushed as they closed that night at 8 p.m.)
