Found this place on IG then drove down from Ottawa for the day, did not disappoint!
Recommend making a reservation online!
Very intimate setup upstairs, Max capacity was maybe 20 guests but did not feel crammed into a room. Ambiance & music were great compliments to the main attractions.
Tried the cucumber salad, Salmon & Eel Sushi. ALL were great. Definitely will come back & try other items on menu. Too full to get to try the soft serve but will try next time.

Absolutely loved this place. Very nice atmosphere & enjoyed the speakeasy ambiance. My highlight were the Maneki dogs. However, I thought there was too much rice in comparison to the fish in the pressed sushi & was let down by the matcha tiramisu that didn't taste fresh but rather cold & hard. Their mocktails were also very good! Overall would absolutely recommend.View more

We ordered 4 dishes (2 manekis, 1 donburi, 1 maneki dog) & I only liked 2 of them (sake truffle & spicy maneki dog), but everyone has their own taste. Very cute place & good service! Me & husband had an amazing experience yesterday night, the vibe is super cozy & aesthetic. I recommend to try their Maneki Dog (sake sesame). It's a very original dish, the seaweed is crispy & the filling is very tasty. Their drinks were also really good, if you like fruity drinks I recommend Hakuma-ma-sake.View more

What a great spot! The overall experience is a 10/10. The food was delicious. We've tried different sushi's, the tartare & a few drinks. The vibe is nice. The music playing in the background is very good. & the staff are very welcoming. Recommend for a date or even to chill with friends! Will be back.View more

My boyfriend & I are very happy with our lunch here! We tried four out of the five sushis options (we left the spiciest one for another day, haha) & all four had very distinct flavors. We really enjoyed all of them. We tried the Toad & the Pig mocktails. They were delicious but a little too sweet for us, but that's 100% on us - we should've asked the waitress before ordering. We were very grateful upon arriving to find out they have a second floor to hide away from the cold outside & we were both impressed by the atmosphere - it feels like a hidden speakeasy! There are few seats, however, so while we were fortunate to be seated without a reservation, I would not leave it up to chance again. Great service, our waitress was so friendly & attentive. We definitely recommend giving Château Maneki a try!View more
