Le Chalet des Érables is widely praised for its warm, authentic Quebec sugar shack atmosphere, generous traditional dishes, and a wide range of activities that keep families entertained. The service is repeatedly highlighted as friendly, attentive, and professional, helping visits feel smooth and welcoming, though a few reviews note occasional slow service, gaps in menu items, or higher prices. Overall guests describe the experience as memorable and worth repeating, with the decor, ambiance, and abundant family activities standing out as key appeals.
Sugar shack is always an experience. You can tell they try to make sure your time spent eating & playing outside is wholesome family fun. Very vintage, western motif, complete with hay rides & a pony corral. The only reason I marked down a star is because the conditions the pony's were in. My daughter was thrilled to sit & ride a pony, but when we got closer the horses looked very tired & were all covered in matted, sweaty fur. I am not saying they don't take care of the animals, just maybe more breaks for water & brushing is advised.
Came for a nice little meal… left questioning if I'm now 30% maple syrup. 🍁
The pea soup could warm a Canadian winter. The traditional meal was incredible - the omelette & crispy bacon were perfectly cooked, & the classic maple-inspired dishes brought that true sugar shack flavor you hope for. The atmosphere really made it special. The rustic setting, checkered tables, & friendly service made it feel like a true Quebec tradition. Everything tasted homemade & you could tell a lot of care goes into the food & the experience.
Just when I thought I couldn't eat another bite, they brought dessert. The sugar pie & icecream was so good.
Authentic sugar shack vibes, amazing comfort food, & portions that say'don't worry about dinner tonight.' Portions were good & the server kept asking us if we wanted more.Service wasnt rushed & theres plenty to do for the kids.
Would loosen my belt & come back again. 🍁😄 . Only downside there was a bit of dried soup on a spoon & a bowl, but not a big deal when you see the amount they must have to clea,& they should retire the bumper cars just loud, gas smell & not fun.My son enjoyed the vintage car ride & all the other activities.

Just left & I have to says I (we) were very disappointed. Reservation were at 11am for 8 people (6 adults 2 kids 11years old) food came somewhat quick but lack of it for sure. Example: 1 pot of soup for 8 people, 2 sausages & 4 slices of jamboree for again 8 people. No water glasses, they told us to use the coffee mugs. Bacon was cold & very hard (almost like it was reheated) dessert was good but again not enough to feed all 8 of us. I have to say Will our server was a good kid.
Washrooms were dirty & smelled bad.
Outside activités horrible..... went 3 times to the Tier section & no employees to be found. The pony rides ($) the girls (11years old) couldn't go on because they were told the ponys work all day & they are too big. Bumper cars no employees & they looked like they seen better days, mechanical bull again no employees & when we called for employees we waited & waited & waited.... antique car ride closed as were many activites. We got refunded the tokens because there was employee coming....
Best part was feeding the sheep & goats , Seeing the bunnies & horses.
Good food at a decent price.
However, everything else on site is expensive, from souvenirs to rides.
Lots of the staff acted like they owned the place, vaping out in a crowd where children were present.
It wasn't my first visit, but I'm not sure I'll go back.
Sorry, this was too much the assembly line of cabane a sucre experience. It's too big & strives to process too many people. I recommend looking for a small classic type place if your a tourist. Good place for all the kids entertainment with rides, animals & is pretty much the Disney land of cabane a sucre. Food was also not amazing, if fact our table never even used any maple syrup. No pancakes or food you might use syrup on. They had fried pancake things that were not very good. The dessert was the best part & very tasty.
This was by far the best Sugar Shack I've been to so far! Friendly service, beautiful decor, loved the add-on food you can pay extra fir such as La Poutine Cochonne & The Jambon Effiloche a
L'érable. They even carry some microbrewery beers, i chose a Maple Red Ale snd it was anazing with the meal. There are soooo many activities to do outside as well! Yes you have to purchase coupons, yes it can get expensive but the pure bliss on my kids face made it all worth it! Carroussel, Poney Ride, Car ride, Train Ride, Mechanical Bull, calèche & more! Will def go back!

Food is great but a bit on the higher side for the quantity quality great for kids but got to pay for everything compare to some place where it has some free horse ride
It's something out of the 70's...buggy rides, Choo Choo train,go karts, animal barn, maple taffy.. inside many pics of previous owners..large dining rooms,a store & hard working staff...food was superb as I ordered vegetarian ( no meat but with eggs)..plenty of parking....a visit is recommended..
