Review Summary

Le Butterblume is widely recognized as a vibrant brunch destination known for its creative, seasonal menu and high-quality, fresh ingredients. Many guests appreciate the thoughtful presentation of dishes like the gravlax and inventive pastries, often highlighting the welcoming atmosphere and the unique open kitchen concept. While the service is frequently described as friendly and professional, some visitors encounter long wait times, a noisy environment, and small portion sizes that do not always align with the price point. Despite varying opinions on the value and fullness of the meals, the restaurant remains a popular and busy spot where regulars enjoy returning for its consistent culinary flair and pleasant, neighborhood-friendly vibe.

Lovely brunch spot with delicious mushroom toast! Seasonal menu so loads of fresh local ingredients in the summer & lots of squash in fall. Their bread is delicious! It is bright & good for a group since they take reservations.

Great service & open kitchen concept. But the gnocchi was a bit too heavy & rich for me to finish it.

The blandest brunch I ve had in Montreal. One would have to TRY to make a couscous that tasteless with a bland chicken to boot. The menu descriptions grossly over-frill the basic dishes we got.

Overpriced & overhyped.

Great service & atmosphere, but the food was not worth the price. The menu looks interesting with cool flavor combinations but none of them actually turned out special at all. The eggplant tartine had bread that was too thick & large & covered the delicate flavors on top. The ravioli with chicken dashi soup didnt have a great texture & the main element that should have balanced it out (the dashi soup) didnt have any strong flavor & so the overall effect is a bad mix of textures without any standout flavors. The only thing we liked was the brioche, but even that wasnt all that impressive either. & the cocktails were similarly mediocre: the espresso martini was light brown with the taste of coffee barely present & was overall watered down. Overall an okay meal but wouldn't come again considering we ended up paying $115 for two meals, two cocktails, a brioche entree & the tip.

Je me régale à chaque fois !
