My group went to Le Bar Darling for brunch on a Saturday morning. Beautiful restaurant with an amazing atmosphere & really pretty food & drinks. The food was delicious & so fresh.
To top it all off so that I can confidently say that this is my favorite restaurant in all of Canada, the service was amazing. My only complaints are that I didn't come more hungry, & that I didn't catch our waiter's name. Our waiter was attentive, asked us about our food, & made sure we were taken care of.
we came here for a late lunch around 3 pm. we were informed that the kitchen was closed & they were only serving bread & cheese dishes. we ordered the bread & cheese dip & the bread with butter & honey. both were absolutely delicious. the Aperol & the coffee were great as well. its a very cozy bar & the staff are super friendly. maybe due to the time we visited, there weren't many staff present because service was quite slow. however, we were happy with our experience!

Super bar restaurant, bonne ambiance mais un peu bruyant, il faut parler fort poir s'entendre. Serveurs très sympa.
On a commencé en terrasse mais un orage violent nous a obligé à un repli à l'intérieur, on nous a trouver une place malgré le monde.
Entrées,plat & dessert très bons.
We were a big group ~10 ppl & had so much fun at bar darling! Drinks were great, food was great, service was great. We ordered a good variety: chicken, oysters, burgers, gnocchi, tartare …

I've been coming to Le Bar Darling for years & a weeknight visit last week reminded me why it's still my go-to spot in the neighbourhood. The flat white is consistently one of the best in the city, properly made with that silky microfoam that most places can't seem to nail. The staff recognized me even though it had been a few weeks, which honestly makes a big difference when you're just looking for a quiet place to decompress. If you're after a low-key spot that still has real character, this one never lets you down.
Great neighbourhood bar for us that live on the Plateau. I like the place most when it's not really busy, but during the Thursday, Friday & Saturday afternoons/evenings it's going to get busy & loud. If you're meeting friends there, like I said, nice place, but too loud for discussions. More of a party bar when later in the evening. I've eaten there twice & I will not do that again. Surprised how they represent the kitchen as a part of the place & it's not really good.
Then the beer. I always go for the draught beer & I have to admit that I'm disappointed in the Boréale selection they have, which I have to admit I don't like at all, but I have noticed that more & more pubs in the area offer this beer which is so far from a proper European beer & it's a bit sad to think about what beer drinkers here are missing out on.
Had some lovely drinks with a dear friend at the bar on April 19th & the bartenders Sacha & Simon were truly so lovely & superb! Full of great laughter & the atmosphere was so welcome! Would come back here when I am back in town!
Super belle découverte au Darling Bar. L'ambiance est vraiment agréable, l'endroit était plein lors de notre visite mais le service est resté rapide & efficace, ce qui est toujours apprécié. Le décor est funky, original & donne beaucoup de personnalité au lieu. Bref, un très bel endroit pour prendre un verre & passer une bonne soirée entre amis. Je recommande ! 🍸
