We had such a great drinking night at Le Balthazar in Quartier DIX30. The vibe was lively but still easy to chat, & the tap list was fantastic-so many Québec microbrews to try. We did a couple of flights, got spot-on recommendations from the bar team, & kept discovering new favorites. Snack plates (hello, nachos & poutine) were perfect for sharing, & service stayed quick even when it got busy. Exactly the kind of place you go for good beer, good music, & a fun night with friends. Would absolutely go back.

Le 8 novembre on était un groupe de 9 pour un anniversaire.
Temps d'attente long pour voir la serveuse .
On demande des refiles d'eau..jamais reçu. Ne nous jamais demandé si on voulait d'autres drinks.
Le fêté a reçu un gâteau pour sa fête mais elle ne nous avait jamais demandé si ON voulait soit gâteau ou café.
Très tres ordinaire comme service .
Par chance la nourriture était très bonne

[update 3 ans après, j'ai ajusté de 5 à 2 étoiles malheureusement, je me souviens pourquoi je viens moins dans la dernière année, le DJ est insupportable le mercredi, impossible de s'entendre parler c'est l'enfer & intense. C'est super dommage car les serveurs sont supers, ainsi que les repas & drinks. 💔 J'espère vraiment que le DJ change ou fais des changements (comme partir ou baisser le son drastiquement). Personne ne vient pour lui, une liste spotify serait plus agréable & sans doute moins chère pour les propriétaires]
Cet endroit est mon préféré « chilling spot » depuis environ 6 ans. J'y ai toujours été bien servi, la sélection de bières est toujours délicieuse & je découvre encore de nouveaux coup de coeur même après tout ce temps!
La nourriture est wow aussi, spécialement leur trempette d'épinard & leurs calmars frits 🤤😍.
J'ai toujours reçu un service impeccable, ressenti de la patience & les employés ont l'air contents d'être là!
La semaine passée j'y ai été servi par la douce Laura, ca m'a donné envie de mettre un commentaire ici. On prends trop souvent la peine de mettre juste les mauvais commentaires mais j'aime trop cet endroit, ca vaut le temps de donner du positif ❤?👌🏼
Je vais arrêter mon commentaire ici car si trop de gens commencent à découvrir mon spot je vais avoir de la difficulté à avoir une place quand j'y vais 😅

Loved this place! Went for date night without knowing what to expect. It was maybe not the greatest time for date night but we sure had fun, the place was super rowdy! (It was st-patricks weekend & there was a hockey game on). There was a dj on the Saturday night which was fun. The people were really enjoying themselves. Drink were super decently priced. I had an espresso martini for 11$!! The food menu is very diverse & large we had trouble choosing what we wanted. I ended up having a burrata entree, meat with mashed potatoes for the main dish & my partner had a burger with a side of ranch poutine. It was all delicious & cost us about 120$ total with tips. Great spot really enjoyed the food I hope to go again soon!

If you're looking for a spot to unwind after work, or with two high school buddies, you might want to try Balthazar
It has a vibrant, bustling atmosphere that leans more towards a bar than a resto. The place was packed, which speaks volumes about its popularity. It's the kind of spot where you can enjoy good company, surprisely great tunes, & a lively ambiance.
I tried the Mac & Rack, which was above average but pricey. The beer selection was excellent, offering a variety of options to suit different tastes. While the value for money was decent, the high prices might be a drawback for some.
The service was fantastic. Our bilingual bartender impressed us with her seamless switching between English & French. Her perfect pronouncation made it so we could not figure out if she was french or english. We therefore concluded she must be english since no french Quebecer would have could have such a perfect command of the other language. ( For visitors from other provinces or other countries, what passes for bilingual here has huge double standards) Anyway, her attentive service made our evening even more enjoyable.
One highlight was the live music. The band played several songs, but their Coldplay cover made us stop talking & just listen-those two guys were that good. Like crazy good.
Balthazar is a great spot for after-work drinks or a casual night out with colleagues. The lively atmosphere, excellent service, & good food make it worth a visit. However, the high prices might make it a less frequent choice.

The place is good. Best beer selection in the Dix30 complex. But I've been there with my 3 kids & a friend today with no reservation & the receptionist told me that there was no seats available & put us on the wait list. I waited 15 min with no return & went back to the receptionist. Still no places available. I asked if she could check how long it would take to get a table she told me probably a long time. So I left for another restaurant close by. 5 min later after talking to her she sent me a message saying that my table was ready, 5 min after she told me it would get a long time. Too late I was already sitting in another restaurant, drinking a shitty beer. Just hope that next time the receptionist would be more proactive & check with staff for next availability, instead of being more concerned about using her phone.

Saturday after shopping we stopped here for a drink & quick bite. 2e floor easy access & get a place. We ordered our variations of Proceccos, bretzel & taco's. The bretzel was surprisingly good but we missed out in the nochos quantities to finish our dish.

This is an amazing restaurant & has a stunning wooden drinking cabin atmosphere. From bringing your huge group of friends to dining out with a loved one, there's something for you. The terrace is 💯💯💯. The resto is massive which is great. Ordered le burger bison break & I was blown away. The drinks were 🔥🔥🔥.

Ns avons du demander de nettoyer le comptoir .. demander du poivre & le sel ...
Drinks tres cher aussi pour peu de goût de boisson 🤷♀️
