We had such a great drinking night at Le Balthazar in Quartier DIX30. The vibe was lively but still easy to chat, & the tap list was fantastic-so many Québec microbrews to try. We did a couple of flights, got spot-on recommendations from the bar team, & kept discovering new favorites. Snack plates (hello, nachos & poutine) were perfect for sharing, & service stayed quick even when it got busy. Exactly the kind of place you go for good beer, good music, & a fun night with friends. Would absolutely go back.

They have several TVs & it's great during sport events.
Reservation is recommended if you want to seat at a table. The place was full, but we got spots at the bar.
The food was alright.

Salade de betterave & chèvre très bonne. Bon service des serveurs. Il y en a 3-4 qui s'occupaient de notre table & tous gentil.
Bonne musique quand nous y sommes allés.
Le soir je recommande secteur bar avec les tables hautes. Plus d'ambiance. Sinon table basse qui est plus pour manger un peu plus tranquille. Belle grande Terrasse aussi. Il n'y a pas de parasol partout, donc je regarderais la météo si j'y vais.
J'y suis allé une fois & bien l'intention d'y retourner.

J'ai pris tartare de boeuf & saumon. C'était très bon, bonne ambiance. Le serveur au bar, Phil, a fait une grosse différence sur mon expérience, il m'a conseillé, bien servi, & on a pris une shot ensemble. Genre d'employé qui font la différence. Je vais y retourne

### Balthazar - A Review for Coworkers

If you're looking for a spot to unwind after work, or with two high school buddies, you might want to try Balthazar

It has a vibrant, bustling atmosphere that leans more towards a bar than a resto. The place was packed, which speaks volumes about its popularity. It's the kind of spot where you can enjoy good company, surprisely great tunes, & a lively ambiance.

I tried the Mac & Rack, which was above average but pricey. The beer selection was excellent, offering a variety of options to suit different tastes. While the value for money was decent, the high prices might be a drawback for some.

The service was fantastic. Our bilingual bartender impressed us with her seamless switching between English & French. Her perfect pronouncation made it so we could not figure out if she was french or english. We therefore concluded she must be english since no french Quebecer would have could have such a perfect command of the other language. ( For visitors from other provinces or other countries, what passes for bilingual here has huge double standards) Anyway, her attentive service made our evening even more enjoyable.

One highlight was the live music. The band played several songs, but their Coldplay cover made us stop talking & just listen-those two guys were that good. Like crazy good.

Balthazar is a great spot for after-work drinks or a casual night out with colleagues. The lively atmosphere, excellent service, & good food make it worth a visit. However, the high prices might make it a less frequent choice.

I used to like this place until I was there later than usual with a friend & was getting kicked out 1 hour before closing time. The staff was quick to turn off the music, turn off certain lights & put up chairs & bar stools?! They rushed to get our bills payed...?! I never experienced this before. ONE HOUR before they close. I find this rude & unacceptable. If you say you close at 3, don't be rushing people out the door at 2:00.

Un super bon Resto-Bar Le Balthazar situé sur une terrasse au 2ième étage au Quartier Dix30. Excellent endroit pour prendre un cocktail ou un excellent repas sous un parasol. L'ambiance est super & le service hors pair.

Un bar a essayer. Le service est excellent & la cuisine super même si les choix ne sont pas très nombreux. Ils ont des bière de microbrasserie que les serveur connaissent assez bien pour en suggérer. En plus un chanteur/musicien est présent certains jours. L'ambiance est génial avec la bonne musique.

Amazing big bar. Attentif staff. Good bear. I got tipsy & danced all night. There's live band very good style. Atmosphere kinda country & suburban. I love it !! Ahhh, food, we had nachos & that was ok.

C'est au 2e étage d'un bâtiment du 10/30, hotesse acceuillante à l'entrée, on entre dans un très grand emplacement à l'ambiance similaire aux bars sportifs, belle éclairage feutré, serveur aimable & chaleureux qui a pris le temps de répondre à toutes nos questions. Service rapide, préférable de réserver pour avoir une table plus intime (souper d'amoureux) sinon un très grand bar où l'on peut boire & manger est à notre disposition mais il se remplit assez rapidement. Groupe musical & DJ selon un horaire spécifique. Idéal pour soirées festives entre amis &/ou collègues. Belle découverte & ça m'a donné l'envie de le faire connaître à mon entourage.

La nourriture était bonne mais trop cher pour ce que c'est & les cocktails sont inconsistents d'un verre à l'autre. Donc une expérience moyenne pour ce qui du menu & service. Bien que ce soit un resto bar, le DJ se croit dans un club & ses jeux de lumières risquent d'aller en plein dans vos yeux selon votre emplacement dans la salle à manger. Impossible de s'entendre parler & vous n'aurez pas le choix de crier votre commande à votre serveur. C'est finalement en sortant du restaurant que tout notre groupe s'est mis à se parler en plein milieu du DIX30 dehors avant d'aller à nos voitures.

Service très lent, peu présent: 1 heure d'attente pour avoir les entrées. Nous sommes allées au bar chercher des verres & de l'eau. Peu de lumière à nos tables & air climatisé au max: trop froid. Mon repas était ok sans plus. Merci.
