From the moment you arrive at the brick door, you can tell that this cocktail bar is someone's passion project. It's, undoubtedly, one of the best cocktail bars I've visited - ever. It's an experience, with mysteries to solve, wacky & creative drinks, & even a pop-up burlesque show from time to time. The staff was friendly throughout, & I'm grateful to have stumbled on this bar while visiting Montreal. C'était parfait!
2 étoiles pour le décor, pas pour le reste. Photo trompeuse sur Google avec des espresso martinis à 9$ (ce qui n'est plus le cas), ce qui porte à confusion - la facture a été une surprise. Réponse de la serveuse assez sèche, comme si on aurait dû demander avant d'entrer, puis elle part sans même dire bonne soirée. Service lent (10 min pour les drinks), cocktails trop sucrés (on ne goûte pas l'alcool). & une odeur étrange en bonus. Décevant
This was our second time coming here, which we were excited about because we didn't stick around long enough the first time to complete the mystery. We came in at 10pm on a Saturday night & waited 15 minutes for our party of 2 to be seated. Not a bad start. It took 10 min to get waters, another 10 to get our menus. Our waitress didn't say anything to us & we waited 20 minutes before we had to flag her down to order our first drinks. Next thing you know, a burlesque show started, which we didn't expect based on the schedule online, so we attributed the slow service to the performance going on.
As we waited a while for our drinks, the large table of 8 beside us were loudly discussing the answers to each of the clues & waving their phone flash lights in order to read. They did this for the next TWO hours & no one came by to say anything to them, despite it being disruptive to our entire half of the room.
While being blinded & spoiled for all of the clues, we got to watch our waitress seat 10 more parties while avoiding our table & the table beside us who were waiting to order their first drinks. Sipping on burnt meringue that smells like an oven fire unfortunately did not elevate the mood (don't recommend the Fantastik cocktail, as pretty as it looks). Eventually (about 50 minutes later) we were able to get our waitress's attention & took initiative to just order our remaining 4 drinks & ask for the rest of the clues. She didn't come back for 10 minutes so we asked another waitress who came by to pick up our empty glasses if we could at least get the last clues.
Because no one had said anything to us, we hadn't realized our phones were necessary to actually solving any of the clues (when we came a year ago everything could be solved with pencil & paper). Once we realized that, we were able to solve everything in 30 minutes, but by that point our timer showed that we'd been sat for 2.5 hours.
Thankfully, all of the AI art meant no artists were harmed in the making of this experience.
Fun concept, but we won't be back for the updated mystery. If you want to go, maybe go on a late weeknight where you have a better chance of being noticed by the staff.

Bien agréable avant midi! La notion historique de l'histoire m'intéressait… je comprends qu'ils devaient adapter mais ça soulevait plein de questionnement de mon côté…. Je suggérerais une histoire complètement fictive ou complètement historique mais je ne suis pas certaine du mélange des deux…. Mais une belle idée & de la rigolade! La bouffe & les drinks, délicieux! Merci!
Vraiment un beau concept de speakeasy. Il propose une petite activité d'enquête lorsque tu bois ton cocktail. Nous y sommes allés pour un cocktail dans une sortie de couple. Ce fut bien agréable. Le décor est très cozy.
Experience incroyable, des cocktails plus étonnants les uns que les autres, a l ambiance tres bien faite, & le vrai plus etait l enigme, tres agreable mais qu on fait tranquillement en sirotant un bon cocktail. & le tout servi avec le sourire. Une tres belle experience !
On avait vraiment hâte d'y aller pour devenir enquêteur d'un soir. Malheureusement, nous avons été déçu.
L'accueil & le service étaient super. Cependant, pour l'enquête, ça ne vaut pas le coup sauf si vous êtes plusieurs & que vous buvez beaucoup. Ce qu'ils ne mentionnent pas c'est qu'il faut commander un de leur drink spécifiquement du menu de l'enquête pour obtenir un indice. Il y en a 6 au total donc pour deux personnes qui ne boivent pas vraiment, 2 indices c'est aucunement suffisant pour avancer quoique ce soit de l'enquête. On est parti au bout de 30 minute.... dommage :(
2026: Alice in Wonderland was syrupy sweet, duck Bao bun was good but it was better before when it was more traditional preparation. Meatballs were alright with the sauce. Baked brie was delicious. White negroni was great. Enjoyed the free burlesque show. Friendly staff.
2024: great flair bartending. Duck bao bun was good. Coco before Canelle was delicious. Coco Mango was nice. Nice playlist
2018: Excellent service. Fun theme. Great cocktails. Baked brie was kinda basic but really hit the spot.

**Nous avons fait l'activité de théâtre immersif du braquage.**
Mystère, complicité, unique, trippant.
Belle activité à faire en couple ou en équipe d'amis, dès la première minute nous avons été pris dans l'ambiance. C'était juste turbo fun. Les acteurs ont été'ses coche', à défaire x1000.
Ce que nous avons aimé aussi c'était le fait qu'on était une équipe qui était, en grande partie, déguisée & on participait beaucoup.
Nous avons adoré.
