From the moment you arrive at the brick door, you can tell that this cocktail bar is someone's passion project. It's, undoubtedly, one of the best cocktail bars I've visited - ever. It's an experience, with mysteries to solve, wacky & creative drinks, & even a pop-up burlesque show from time to time. The staff was friendly throughout, & I'm grateful to have stumbled on this bar while visiting Montreal. C'était parfait!
2026: Alice in Wonderland was syrupy sweet, duck Bao bun was good but it was better before when it was more traditional preparation. Meatballs were alright with the sauce. Baked brie was delicious. White negroni was great. Enjoyed the free burlesque show. Friendly staff.

This place definitely stands out among the scores of bars in the area. A'true' speakeasy with the vibes, the warmth, & the service. The drinks are very well made- & only a little bit more expensive than the average Montreal cocktail. It's totally worth it to pay a little bit more for the superior quality - & there are some very interesting options on the menu. I requested the server for'an interesting whiskey cocktail' & was blown away with the concoction they made me. It is highly recommended to go in a group & try a hand at the murder mystery game. Definitely a Montreal experience to not be missed!
OMG...Montreal, you are really surprising me, more & more, with all your great bars, cocktail bars. I mean, who knew that one day Montreal would be prolific in that regard? So, Le 4ᶱ Mur is one of those superb cocktail bars we once were dreaming about, here in Montreal. But the dream is true now & here is it: one of the best cocktail bars in town, with a superb service to match!
