Born from the love of a passionate French artisan, Boulangerie l'Amour du Pain has discovered the secret to winning hearts and satisfying hungry appetites with its wide selection of bakery, viennoiserie, and pastry products. Each of our branches also offers a ready-to-eat counter. Sandwiches, salads, soups, we have everything you need!
Overall, L'Amour du Pain draws praise for its exquisite pastries and breads, with standout croissants including an almond croissant and a chocolate almond croissant noted as among the best, and many reviewers highlight the texture, the balance of fillings, and daily freshness. The pastries and breads are described as stunning and delicious, and the shop pairs a cozy cafe vibe with a small counter for coffee and snacks. The setting inside a traditional old building that also houses a home decor and plants store adds a gallery like atmosphere that many find appealing. Service is consistently described as friendly and helpful, with warm smiles from staff, although a few comments mention limited seating and occasionally ordinary coffee. Taken together, the experience is a delightful treat with high quality baked goods and an inviting, welcoming feel.
L'Amour du Pain is placed in a charming district, sharing space with plants & interior design… I sampled the tiramisu & a layered chocolate torte, complimented by a steaming London Fog. Low key yet decadent vibe!
All of us guests sat at a massive wooden table with benches. I found this quaint & lovely!
A hidden gem with delicious treats. We had the Chocolatine Amandes croissant & the Eclair de Paris-Brest. Absolutely delicious, I wish I had taken pictures.

(Per my daughter, aged 10:) If you go to amour du pain you MUST get the gateau au fromage it is sooo good & the cafe attendants can speak French & English. Cafe was really cute doubles as a boutique.
I used to love L'amour du pain it was my favorite bakery. But lately it's just been bad experience after another. Very dry bread, nothing is fresh. Even the pastry I recently tried were hard.
They really need to get the quality back up for the price that they charge.

I've been to well over 20 countries & this honestly is one of the best croissants that I have had. The texture & flavor were perfect. I'd highly recommend to visit if you love coffee & pastries. I'm definitely going back before I leave Montreal.
