Review Summary

L'Amour du Pain is widely celebrated as a charming destination that offers an exceptional selection of pastries, including highly acclaimed almond croissants and decadent desserts, all served within a unique setting that doubles as a home decor and plant shop. Visitors frequently praise the friendly and welcoming staff, the cozy atmosphere, and the quality of the freshly made baked goods, often noting that the location in Old Montreal provides a lovely environment for a morning coffee or a quick snack. While the vast majority of guests find the experience delightful and top-tier, occasional feedback suggests that coffee preferences or the specific texture of certain items can vary, yet the consensus remains that this bakery is a must-visit gem for both locals and tourists alike.

I used to love L'amour du pain it was my favorite bakery. But lately it's just been bad experience after another. Very dry bread, nothing is fresh. Even the pastry I recently tried were hard.

They really need to get the quality back up for the price that they charge.

Excellent croissants, especially au chocolat, & delicious bread. The bakery/cafe shares space with a lovely home store that makes it feel like sipping coffee in an art gallery or private interior garden. Excellent service.

Wow! It felt like I was in a French bakery in France. 🇫🇷 The food was incredible, with croissants that were simply divine & sourdough bread that was irresistible. The service was excellent, & the prices were quite reasonable.

The coffee ( macchiato & cappuccino) we ordered was so-so. The pastries & bread were very good. We had an olive loaf & caneles. The cafe is on an open area store where the cafe is in the corner & open to other shops. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the cafe but seating is limited.
