Dans l ensemble, LaKafe MTL est salué pour son espace cosy et chic et ses cafés vietnamiens créatifs, avec des favoris tels que le café vietnamien à l oeuf et le café au sel, ainsi que des boissons comme le nuage de matcha coco, le guava matcha et le strawberry matcha; le menu brille aussi par des onigirazu frais et des croffles qui se marient bien avec le matcha, tandis que le personnel est souvent décrit comme chaleureux et serviable et que le cafe est un endroit idéal pour étudier grâce aux grandes tables et au wifi gratuit; certains notent que l espace est un peu petit, que les prix restent élevés et que quelques commandes prennent du temps ou que certains onigirazu peuvent être un peu lourds ou brûlés, mais dans l ensemble les boissons et les plats restent délicieux et l expérience est agréable et beaucoup de clients disent qu ils reviendront.
Great spots for drinks & foods. I've tried many from onigirazu, croffle, matcha & coffeee, they have been delicious. Today I had matcha latte eggfoam & the eggfoam is great for croffle dipping though!!!! (In vietnam we dip banh mi in eggcream & eat them together ☺?)
Visiting Montreal & this is our first breakfast in the city. I will be thinking about this meal every day. We got the salmon onigirazu, the salmon croffle, matcha latte, salt coffee & egg coffee. Everything was absolutely delicious.
Un très bon endroit. Ce lieux propose une grande carte de café, matcha, croffle ou encore onigiri.
Nous avons trouvé nos boissons très bonnes, mais rien de phénoménales.
Les prix sont relativement élevés comparés aux autres cafés, & nous avons attendu très longtemps pour avoir notre commande.
À part ces points négatifs, ça reste un café très bon & agréable.

Tried the egg coffee, it was interesting! Definitely something you should try at least once. I would definitely go back to try other coffees, it's a really nice cafe.

I stopped by after hearing whispers about their Vietnamese-style drinks, & honestly? This place makes you want to cancel your afternoon plans just to sip slowly & daydream.
Here's what I tried:
1. Vietnamese Coffee - The barista told me this packs the punch of four shots of espresso (yes, four!), & they weren't kidding. It's strong, sweet, & smooth-the kind of drink that wakes you up & gives you a warm, fuzzy hug. The bold coffee flavor is beautifully mellowed by that classic condensed milk sweetness. If you like your caffeine kick with a little sweetness, this one's for you.
2. Strawberry Matcha ($7.50) - Aesthetically? A 10/10. Taste-wise? A little too milky for me. I wanted more strawberry oomph to balance the creaminess. That said, it's a super approachable option if you're new to matcha. Sweet, soft, & almost dessert-like with that gorgeous green-to-pink gradient.
3. Coconut Matcha Cloud ($7.50) - My clear favorite. It literally tastes like a coconut matcha cookie, in the best way. Light, foamy, & just the right amount of coconut flavor without overpowering the matcha. The'cloud' on top is soft & dreamy-this one's refreshing & cozy. I'd come back just for this.
The space itself? Cozy, calm, & thoughtfully minimal. Think lush plants, warm wood accents , & marble detailing that make the whole place feel both polished & inviting. It has that quiet magic where time feels like it moves a little slower. Whether you're solo-working, journaling, or catching up with a friend, it's the kind of café that welcomes you to stay awhile.
Bonus: they also serve onigirazu (Japanese-style rice sandwiches) & croffles (croissant-waffle hybrids), which I've got my eye on for next time. Savory or sweet, they've got you covered.
Foxy Tip: Matcha fans-run, don't walk, to the Coconut Cloud. It's a vibe.
