From the moment we walked in, we loved this place. The atmosphere feels very warm & welcoming.
We had the pleasure of being served by Luca, the manager of the restaurant. He is very knowledgeable about the various dishes they serve & he guided us on what to order based on our wine choice. The food was incredible, everything we ate was flavourful & well portioned. Highly recommend.View more

Amazing experience at La Spada! Beautifully decorated like a restaurant in the heart of Rome we got sharing platters for a table of 7 & they accommodated us at every step. Starting with a salty warm foccacia that went so well with the traditional tortellini soup. We had the arancini, broccolini, Brussels sprouts, vodka pasta, ragu pasta, 20oz steak & lamb chops. Everything was absolutely delectable, all served by a warm & knowledgeable Luca. Amazing culinary experience overall, highly recommend!!View more

La Spada is a breath of fresh air in terms of Italian dining in Montreal. Great food, friendly service & a chill vibe that keeps people coming back. Went with a group of nine people right after Christmas & we all had a great experience! Highly recommend the tortellini en brodo, the polpo alla griglia, the carbonara & the filet mignon. For cocktails, try the negroni sour & the pepperoncini-tini. Thanks La Spada, will definitely be back soon!View more

We went to La Spada for my daughter's birthday-she's a big fan of Italian cuisine. I didn't have any particular expectations going in, but we had an amazing experience. The food was outstanding-the best pasta I've ever had, especially the squash ravioli with sage butter, which was even better than in Italy! The Bresaola, octopus, braised beef pappardelle, Focaccia, & dessert were all divine. One of the owners, Scott, even took the time to come & greet us. The service was impeccable yet unpretentious, & the atmosphere was fantastic, even on a rainy Tuesday night. I highly recommend it! We didn't get to try the tortellini in broth, so we'll definitely have to go back. ;)View more
