La Scacciata stands out for fresh, authentic Sicilian flavors with house-made focaccia bread for sandwiches, stellar arancini, and a Milanese that impresses, while the in-house pastry, coffee, and gelato offer a complete Italian cafe feel; guests describe a warm, family-run atmosphere, welcoming staff, and generous portions at reasonable prices, with the terrace a bonus in warm weather; a few critiques include occasional oily pizza, slower service at times, and some variation in fillings, but overall the reviews paint it as a charming, reliable spot worth returning to for good food and friendly vibes.
Ordered the prosciutto sandwich. Nothing special. Bread was mid, prosciutto had no taste & too much honey. Not worth the price point. Just being honest.
Found this place online & decided to try it out. WOW did we make a good choice. The food is so fresh & so delicious. MUST TRY. They also let me know they have a terrace where I can enjoy my sandwich with my pup in the summer. We tried the Milanese, Bologna & Agrigento. All so yummy. Thanks! We will be back

Such a tasty shop! Pizza & sandwiches taste so fresh & clean. Ingredients shipped from Italy. Everything about this store is so warm & authentic. Definitely a must try!
Great addition to the neighbourhood! Approved by my difficult Italian friends. Focaccia on the sandwiches is always great, food is fresh & the boys are welcoming! You guys should post an updated menu online!
As my first time in Montreal, I was visiting for a concert with a friend & this place was one of the ones in walking distance to the theater. Clean with a good atmosphere & plenty of seating as it wasn't very busy.
INCREADIBLE sandwiches made in house, with the kitchen making the bread by scratch in the back. Definitely could not complain about the food for sure.
It's one of those places where you take a bite & then your mind starts planning for your next trip back. That sandwich was the best by far I have ever tasted. Thank you Pino. Loved it

Forget your usual lunch spot. This is a game-changer! La scacciata is a family-run Sicilian joint that feels like it was teleported straight from Italy.
The food is just... honest-to-god incredible. The star is the bread they use for their sandwiches, the'scacciata.' It's this magical focaccia-like bread that's crispy on the outside but soft & airy inside.
Whatever they pile in between it-whether it's the perfectly crispy Milanese or the legendary porchetta-is ridiculously fresh & flavorful.
Don't even look at the menu too hard. Just walk up & ask them what's good today. Trust them completely. You'll end up with the best sandwich you've had in a long, long time. & if they have arancini available, get one. Don't think, just do it.
This is the kind of place you'll find yourself making excuses to go back to. It's not just lunch, it's a whole mood. You'll leave happy, I promise.
