Cependant un peu déçu par le sablé Pistache, je ne sentais pas beaucoup le gout de la pistache. Quitte à payer plus cher j'aimerais un goût de Pistache fort 😁
This has been one of our fav bakery for years (been addicted to their mastery of butter since they were on Victoria st.)! Croissants, chocolatine/pain chocolat, croissant au amande, koing aman, abricotine, chausson au pomme, brioche au raisin, etc etc! All the usual suspects & more. Butter, flour & sugar paradise.
We are impartial to their almond croissant. One of the best we've had. Generous filling, crispy croissant. Rich sweet & buttery without making you feel sick. Their koing aman too is worth sinking your teeth in. Aaaahh the magic of semi-salted butter & sugar. They have some more caramelized & some less caramelized. Extra buttery or extra sugary...just take one of each. You'll be grateful for it. Sharing optional.
Let talk boulangerie: their tradition is deliscious! Do not get me wrong, their baguette is good too but the tradition is where it is at! Brings us back to France.
Definitely worth the detour, even if you are in Montreal or further away on the South shore.
Our biking group stopped here after a ride, & it was a great decision! Everyone loved the quality of the pastries & coffee. Note there is no seating, it's all take-out (& no seating nearby except for improvising on structures). But well worth it! The chausson aux pommes I had was exceptional - buttery & flaky, with no skimping on the apple filling (& square shaped, unusual & allowed for more filling). A local gem with friendly service.
On y retourne régulièrement.
Malheureusement pas de pain suisse, mais les viennoiseries sont très bonnes, les pains aussi.
Petit coup de coeur sur le croissant framboise qui est bien dosé & le kouign amann (qui est assez rarement disponible. Petite note : il est surprenament léger & moins beurré qu'à mon habitude/préférence, mais vraiment très bon).

I usually love the financiers...& they have always been moist & delish. The batch with an expiration date of Dec 24th were just so dry! Made me a little sad. Nothing worst then driving home & being excited for a product you have eaten so many times before...& for some reason the recipee is off this time. It's only 8$...but you know!
En tant que française, je dois dire que c'est extrêmement plaisant de retrouver des viennoiseries aussi bonnes & aussi bien façonner qu'en France. Le feuilletage est très beau en plus d'être bon & croustillant. Petites variétés de pains très bon MAIS qui mériterait de varier en terme de cuisson (Cuisson blanc , cuit & bien cuit). Je trouves qu'il y a plus souvent du bien cuit & parfois nous aimons le pain à cuisson moins cuite. (J'imagine qu'il faut voir s'il y a de la demande pour cela). Petites variétés aussi de pâtisseries qui sont aussi bonnes & une version salée aussi pas mal pour ce que j'ai goûté .
