Reviews describe La Maison Dumplings (The Dumpling Hut) as a cozy, small spot with fresh handmade dumplings and a simple menu, where both steamed and fried options show off juicy fillings like pork and dill, lamb coriander, zucchini and shrimp, and vegetarian choices; the dough is praised for its chew and the fillings for being flavorful and generous, with several mentions calling it the best dumplings in Montreal and a hidden gem that feels like a home kitchen. The space is intimate, warm and unpretentious, making the experience feel welcoming rather than formal, with quick but friendly service from the staff and a generally fast turnaround, though some notes point to occasional noise, limited seating and the price value being more favorable for the portion size. Overall, the reviews converge on high quality, homemade feel, and a charming atmosphere, with some requests for more beverage options and occasional critique of service or pace, but a strong willingness to return.
Dumplings are really good! There is one vegetarian option with egg & two vegan options available. A little card but very good dumplings. Dumplings can be steamed or fried (both is very good). Can recommend

Such a great find! Very friendly & prompt waitress. Excellent food. The seaweed salad was the best I've ever had. We also tried 3 types of dumplings & all were really good. The best was the lamb & cilantro. My kids loved it too. We will definitely be back.
Ordered take out over the phone, was very clear & described the exact ingredients in the order & everything but they still got one of the items wrong, which sucked since we couldn't eat the ones they gave us by accident. We did get our order of mushroom & cabbage dumplings, they were not cheap, paid 24$ after taxe & tip for 20 dumplings, so i was disappointed that they were mostly filled with cheap noodles, an ingredient not listed. Also charging 2$ extra to pan fry the dumplings feels really cheap & rubs me the wrong way. Despite this the dumplings were pretty tasty. The fact they try & cheap out & cut so many corners really cheapens the experience imo, I wouldn't go back at these prices for this food.
I have allergies to peanuts & this place doesn't use any, the food is incredible & the people are so nice. I highly recommend you eat there, best dumplings in Montreal by far!
Great staff & great food! We had the Wonton Soup, fried beef onion dumplings, & fried pork coriander dumplings; all were good. Favorite was the fried beef onion dumplings!
Great atmosphere inside, very cozy - you are literally in (what used to be) someone's home! Although it is a little small, so I'd imagine not great for huge groups. Service was super quick & the dumplings were phenomenal. Highly recommend to anyone! This is making my list of "would go again" restaurants in Montreal.

I hate giving away secret spots. This place is amazing. Dumplings were perfectly cooked. Got steamed & fried. Only thing missing is a good beer. No alcohol license it would appear. Still, place stands in its own for the dumplings. Not to be missed.
