Reviews describe La Maison Dumplings (The Dumpling Hut) as a cozy, small spot with fresh handmade dumplings and a simple menu, where both steamed and fried options show off juicy fillings like pork and dill, lamb coriander, zucchini and shrimp, and vegetarian choices; the dough is praised for its chew and the fillings for being flavorful and generous, with several mentions calling it the best dumplings in Montreal and a hidden gem that feels like a home kitchen. The space is intimate, warm and unpretentious, making the experience feel welcoming rather than formal, with quick but friendly service from the staff and a generally fast turnaround, though some notes point to occasional noise, limited seating and the price value being more favorable for the portion size. Overall, the reviews converge on high quality, homemade feel, and a charming atmosphere, with some requests for more beverage options and occasional critique of service or pace, but a strong willingness to return.
I absolutely love this spot the dumplings are amazing. Anytime I stop in Montreal I have to come, hospitality is great & the food is very authentic. I've had practically everything on the menu & everything was great. Definitely a must come, 100% recomend.
We stayed in Montrèal for a few days & found this gem restaurant or shall I say a homely place to eat. My husband lived & worked in China & loves dumplings - this hut matched the taste of the original dumplings from China. Thank you Dumpling Hut they were delicious. 😋

Si vous aimez le goût de l'authentique & celui de la cuisine de rue en asie / la cuisine familiale, ce sont tout simplement les meilleurs dumpling en ville.
Most of our impressions of dumpling restaurants are: crowded, noisy environment, & unaesthetic design. However, I found a dumpling restaurant that feels like home! It is called--The dumpling hut. From the dough to the fillings, everything is handmade. Fennel dumplings, lamb dumplings, & vegetarian dumplings are all very good. You can eat in the restaurant or buy semi-finished products to take home.
