Reviews describe La Maison Dumplings (The Dumpling Hut) as a cozy, small spot with fresh handmade dumplings and a simple menu, where both steamed and fried options show off juicy fillings like pork and dill, lamb coriander, zucchini and shrimp, and vegetarian choices; the dough is praised for its chew and the fillings for being flavorful and generous, with several mentions calling it the best dumplings in Montreal and a hidden gem that feels like a home kitchen. The space is intimate, warm and unpretentious, making the experience feel welcoming rather than formal, with quick but friendly service from the staff and a generally fast turnaround, though some notes point to occasional noise, limited seating and the price value being more favorable for the portion size. Overall, the reviews converge on high quality, homemade feel, and a charming atmosphere, with some requests for more beverage options and occasional critique of service or pace, but a strong willingness to return.
My favourite dumplings in all of mtl! They've made dumplings my favourite food, I'm not joking. I also love their cucumber salad! Just as good as take out btw
I arrived pre dinner rush & was seated immediately. I ordered the wonton soup & pork & dill dumplings. Everything was served quickly, & they were delicious. Fully bilingual menu & servers.

We chose from their simple menu a plate of "cabbage & mushroom," & "carrots, tofu, & celery." You can choose half & half plate. It was too light & very delicious
I recently tried the cabbage & mushroom dumplings, & they were absolutely delicious! The filling was fresh & well-seasoned, with a perfectly soft wrapper. My friend had the lamb & coriander dumplings & loved the tender lamb paired with the freshness of coriander. To top it off, our server was incredibly kind & attentive, which made the experience even better. Highly recommended!
Great little place, only a few tables. You can watch dumplings being hand made in open kitchen. We only tried vegetarian options & they were wonderful. Dumpings were fresh & very tasteful.

Dumplings to die for. Handmade. Beautiful. Tasty. Simple. The seaweed salad was great, too. Good service. Reasonable prices. Very clean spot but atmosphere was just okay. But you don't go for the atmosphere. It's all about the dumplings!
What more could I ask for? Tastes like a plate of homemade dumplings from my MOM. Cucumber salad was some of the best I've ever had. & the interior is simple & lovely. Past the counter you can watch a woman filling dough.
it's overrated!

Super nice restaurant I ordered fried pork, zucchini, shrimp dumplings & seaweed salad, which was the best choice in my entire life! Super duper delish. I will definitely visit this place again.
Do yourself a favour & take that one block turn off St-Laurent Ave & find your way to the Dumpling Hut. Small menu, even smaller floor plan, this tiny place is pumping up killer dumplings. Highly recommended the lamb & coriander, & the egg, tofu & zucchini (pan fried) Tip: check the heat level on the chili oil prior to loading up, it was pretty hot tonight.
