Depuis 1990, ce restaurant coloré à l'ambiance festive satisfait les goûts épicés des Montréalais. Avec des spécialités de la cuisine cajun et créole telles que le poisson noirci, le jambalaya, le «crab cake», l'alligator et les pâtes vaudou, La Louisiane pourrait bien devenir l'un de vos endroits favoris!
Tous faits maison, les desserts vous mettrons l'eau à la bouche. Les bananes Foster, la tarte aux pacanes ou le pudding au pain recouvert d'une délicieuse sauce au whisky font honneur à la cuisine originale de la Nouvelle-Orléans.
À votre première visite, votre regard se portera sans doute vers la cuisine, l'une des rares cuisines ouvertes parmi les restaurants de la ville. De votre table, vous pourrez ainsi observer le chef maniant la flamme du grill pour concocter votre repas.

Great staff & super solid, consistent food. Get the bourbon chocolate pecan pie or bananas foster for dessert. They are must haves.

Looking for comfort food & lively place? Check out the folks at La Louisiane! YUM. YUM. YUM!!! So happy I was introduced me to this fantastic restaurant!! I recommend getting there early (5:30pm) because it gets packed later. Single stall washrooms with no labels is the most euphoric experience ever - BRAVO 👏 Hip playlist that had me pulling out Shazam every tune 🎵 Had me singing & dancing in my seat 🕺 corn bread was grilled SO good I've never had it like that before! Fried chicken, chef vegetables, Dino ribs & banana foster w/ Lemonade that had a cellulose straw 🤯 I even tried to eat the straw 😂 Everything was SO good I can't wait to go back! Other dishes I wanted to try like the mussels & fries, blackened fish, crab cakes looked good as I watched other people get their food! They do have gluten free pasta & jambalaya I wish I could have sat there & feasted all day 😊 The mural on the wall was lovely as well. I dig the vibe of this rad place 🤙🏻Service was attentive & everyone was so friendly & welcoming. I felt like I was hanging out with friends & was super at ease 🫶🏻

Such a nice & cozy restaurant in the heart of NDG. The food was so flavourful & tasty. Big portions alert. We had the sweet potato fries & spinach artichoke dip, they were so good! The main were lamb sliders (seasonal) & BBQ shrimps. They were an absolute delight! Super fast & friendly service. Don't forget to check their menu out! We've been coming & will be coming back again!

They used to get gator but now they don't. If they had gator it would have been a 5star.... To serve'traditional' food without the Gator is sucky ...

Had an amazing dinner with a friend last night. We were 45 mins late due to a car issue but they graciously accepted us anyway even though when we arrived it was near closing. The service was perfect & our server was so friendly! My friend & I both had the Hurricane drink & it tasted just like the one I had in New Orleans, very tasty & full of rum! The food we had was also AMAZING! We had the hush puppies, spinach dip, blackened chicken & bbq shrimp & it was all delicious. We're looking to go back next weekend lol

Hadn’t been here in while (probably just before COVID lockdowns) had always enjoyed previously so decided to give a try. To sum it up average to disappointing. They seem to have lost their mojo. We were 2 couples, we all had crab cakes for app I had the famous fried chicken, 2 people had the shrimp & 1 had the firecracker shrimp (nice of them to make it, it’s no longer on the menu) & we finished with bread pudding. We all ate talked & did the normal supper stuff. Thanked the staff , paid & left the restaurant. As we are walking down Sherbrooke street the person who always raves about La Louisiane says, how did you like your meal? She starts off with I was disappointed, the group all agree. Not sure what it is exactly, but something was lacking in terms of freshness & flavour. Unlike prior visits, everything was average at best. Even the bread pudding which is usually a crowd pleaser was ok to bad (way too much chocolate drizzle). Nothing to complain about on service side. I don’t think it was just us, it was a Saturday night & the place was not packed. It’s too bad, because this place used to be really good. Here is to hoping they get their mojo back.

Carte courte. Peut de choix typiquement de cette partie de la planète. Les moules étaient sablonneuses & la portion servie serait plutôt digne d’une entrée. L’aération du resto laisse à désirer, soyez certain que vos vêtements sentiront pendant plusieurs heures après votre visite…

Très bon restaurant, l'endroit idéal pour vivre une expérience du sud des Etats-Unis, j'ai eu un gros coup de cœur le poisson noircie ( morue) , le gumbo & le cocktail cajun ( limonade). Les portions sont assez généreuses!

Poor lighting, sticky floors in the bathroom, served ice cold ribs, music too loud, most of the food tasted like Frank's Red hot & was under seasoned, all this for over 100$ for two people with one entree, one main & four drinks. Will not be back & cannot recommend.

I was having a terrible day & the staff here took care of me so well! I had the crab cakes, the paneed chicken & some kind of awesome chocolate pecan thing for dessert. The food was phenomenal & the people that work here went above & beyond, truly. Vibrant atmosphere, cozy comfort food done fancy. Highly, highly recommend for any occasion or just because :)

Je commande toujours les pâtes Magnolia, il y a des crevettes & une sauce rosée d'enfer. Mon conjoint, le Jambalaya. Les petits pains au zucchin en entrée sont délicieux & n'oubliez pas de goûter aux frites de patates sucrées avec les épices cajuns Mmm. Accompagné d'un bloody caesar cajun, vous êtes au paradis. Tout cela avec de la musique Jazz. Je connais ce resto depuis plus de 20 ans & j'espère qu'il restera ouvert encore 20 autres années, merci.
