Review Summary

Across the reviews, La Cave de Mamie blends tapas and vermouth vibes with a strong focus on natural and French wines, earning praise for delicious food, attentive service, and a lively, welcoming atmosphere. Guests can chat with the owners, enjoy a tasting, then sit on the patio with a bottle or two, and the overall experience feels like a Parisian vibe with plenty of energy and great guidance from the staff, who showcase the cellar during tastings and highlight standout whites like chenin blanc and Chardonnay from the Loire Valley, plus notable selections from Alsace and Auvergne.

La Cave de Mamie is such a cool little spot in Montreal. Perfect for snacks & a few glasses of wine, with a really fun atmosphere for people watching. It has that ideal balance of feeling casual but still special.

The best part is that it's the kind of place you can'accidentally' stay for three hours - just grazing, sipping, chatting, & enjoying the vibe. Also a great place to grab a bottle to go.

Would absolutely come back.

I love this place. If you're interested in natural wines or French wines at all. This is the right place. Walk in, chat with the owners, do a tasting then sit on the patio & order a bottle or two. You'll feel like you are in Paris. The more questions you ask the more you'll drink. What a vibe/ party.

If ask the right questions they will show you the cellar. The day we were there they were doing a tasting with an importer who specializes in the Loire Valley. I loved the chenin blanc & Chardonnay we tasted. Very impressive white wines. We also tasted a wine from Alsace that I had to buy a bottle of.

Shoutout the owner for carrying wines from the Auvergne.
