La Catrina propose une ambiance chaleureuse et vivante avec des portions généreuses et des plats phares comme le guacamole préparé à table et des tacos savoureux, sans oublier des cocktails et margaritas très appréciés; le service est généralement sympathique et l'atmosphère animée convient aux groupes, aux dîners en famille ou à une expérience détendue sur la terrasse, ce qui en fait une étape mémorable dans le Vieux-Port de Montréal.
Staff was nice, which makes up for the long wait times. Overpriced tacos (but inflation...?). Fried chicken was dry, but guacamole was good & the drinks were great.

Love love love this restaurant, the best guacamole, they make it right in front of you, their tacos are amazing & so are their cocktails!! The ambiance is really nice & fun, the music is really good. Highly recommend!
Shrimp taco was the best! The guacamole was phenomenal. Braised beef taco
& braised beef quasadia we did not enjoy. Too many mushrooms & too many fatty parts in there. Loved the churros. Ambiance is great, our server was extremely lovely! Drinks were delicious. We will come back for sure!
Fantastic lunch experience in the Old Port with friends. Great cocktails, delicious tacos (if you eat meat, you have to try the pork belly taco; so scrumptious, tasty, & crispy!!!).
Assez déçue d'avoir pris la peine de réserver & qu'il n'y aille pas de table libre en arrivant (à l'heure). On a finalement été rélégués au sous-sol, près des toilettes. Les tacos au poisson n'étaient pas fameux, à éviter.

Really great food & prices! Everything we ordered was great. Especially loved that they make the guacamole in front of you. Fish tacos were my favorite. Service was just a bit slow but it's understandable as they were packed. Definitely make a reservation in advance. Would recommend & will be going back.
Amazing authentic Mexican flavors. Don't expect Carlos & Pepe's type food. This is the real thing. Fish tacos are outstanding, portions are generous. Everything is fresh. Prices are great too!
Amazing food & service. By far the best tacos we've had! Portions are extremely generous & flavourful. Delicious drinks too! We will be back on our future trips to Montreal!

Fantastic experience! From service from staff to décor to ambiance to music played to location to food & drinks! It was honestly one of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to & I have tried several in the Hamilton, Burlington, Mississauga & Toronto areas! I would recommend anyone try this restaurant & no doubt you will walk away with the same positive experience! You must try their guacamole (made at your table!) & chips! We had the grilled shrimp tacos & the pork belly tacos & the churros for dessert. Loved the Passion Fever cocktail as well! Love the wall decor & love the indoor/outdoor experience on a warm September evening. This truly is 5 star!!!!
The standout aspect of La Catrina is the portion sizes. You're served relatively big taco's (2 or 3 depending on what you've ordered) for a reasonable price. Ambience, service & cleanliness is all a 10 as well.

Les tacos sont excellents, la guacamole est à tomber par terre. Très bon service, convivial.
Seul hic, pour moi, ce sont le boissons alcoolisées, originales mais très fortes en alcool.
J'y retournerai assurément.

The atmosphere was warm & welcoming, the food was incredible (some of the best tacos we've ever had) & the staff were exceptionally caring & attentive. Emiliano, Yannick, Alex & the rest of the team were incredibly welcoming, accommodating, kind, & professional & the entire evening was just such a total joy. We'll definitely be back :)
